I really like the Kuru Toga pencil line, so I would have rated this 5 stars. The lead rotation mechanism really does keep the led sharp, and overall this is a really good investment into an affordable mechanical pencil with a special unique feature. An upgrade would be the Kuru Toga High Grade or Roulette mechanical pencils, which have a metal barrel and a sleeker look. One thing to keep in mind when purchasing these pencils is that they will have a slightly 'spongy' feel to the writing, as the mechanism relies on you pressing down on the nib on each stroke to turn the lead each time, so you may have to get used to the pencil having a bit of 'give' and, if you have a light hand, pressing down a bit more when you write.I rated this particular listing 4 stars as the picture used is kind of misleading, as I received the newer version where the entire pen body is transparent pink, whereas the picture suggests that it is the older version where the barrel is a solid dark pink colour (which I like better).

I love these pens, they're never scratchy. I already had one, but I treated myself to another.

When you get this pencil it feels solid and durable in the hand. The pencil is largely constructed of plastic. Lead is advanced by clicking the end of the pencil.It’s nice to use and does indeed rotate the lead to facilitate a fresh edge to write with.I got this for my kid to use for tuition work. So as kids do it was taken apart and reassembled and then I was told that it didn’t work anymore. On examination there’s a tiny rubber grommet that acts as the brake for lead advancement. It had jammed and wasn’t allowing the lead to be advanced. So I reseated the grommet and all was good.If you have problems with the pencil jamming check if the grommet has become unseated. It’s easy to miss as it’s only a couple of millimetres it diameter.I award three stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️Happy shopping.

Arrived in good condition, minimal packaging. Have used these before - write with a lighter hand than the delguard but tend to be less durable and more prone to break (but not by a lot and I loose them before that usually)
