I found it does not stick to hard plastic dashboards but sticks very well to softer plastic type dashboards

This was my first purchase of a universal phone holder for my car. I wanted a cheap unit to test out a recently downloaded Dashcam app, and following extensive research stumbled upon this product.At the price it was offered I thought I'd give it a go. Prime service delivered the product next day and initial reaction on opening, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, although not so by the English instructions that came with it.Initially I thought that for attaching to the windscreen the protective plastic cover over the base should be left in place and a quick test on a window in the house confirmed it would hold my phone. I was sure the pad under the protective cover was to enable a more permanent fix as it was extremely sticky to touch. After searching on YouTube I was saw that it can indeed be used for attaching to the windscreen, but beware it's very difficult to get off, at times it feels like you are pulling the sticky pad off the product, but to date i haven't done this and have successfully repositioned the product several times.Other reviewers here also suggest washing the sticky pad with water to aid reuse and I tried this and found the sticky pad exhibits a different property; no longer sticky as a finger can slide around the pad. But once attached to the windscreen I becomes rock solid again.To summarise; a good product at a reasonably cheap price, somewhat let down by the instructions (simple enough to understand how it's attached to the screen but would have benefitted by clearer instructions for using and reuse of the extremely sticky pad). Hope its stands the test of time.Note: I wanted to contact Rheme about this and after finding their UK website tried to use the Twitter link from the homepage, but alas the username didn't exist. Rheme - please sort this out.

The suction power linked to the adhesive quality of the base was surprisingly strong, and not easily dislodged. The unit does not move when touching the phone to adjust any settings, which is great.

I have now brought a few of these, for myself & my daughters. The 1st ones were great & lasted ages. Brilliant for any size phone & easy to attach the phone to it. But when I changed cars & ordered new ones, they didn't stay stuck at all , they had fallen off by the next day. So had to buy completely different one

NOTE: Please read bottom edits with regard to my issues with the original product I received.Fairly intuitive to use and a good design for a universal device holder, which is lucky considering the instructions are written in pigeon English.The sucker is pretty good, it hasn't come loose apart from when I've removed it from my windscreen.Fits my iPhone 5 well, haven't tried other devices but the clamp opens up to a decent width, which should accommodate all current popular mobile phones, or any other small electronic devices you may want in your peripheral view when driving (sat nav for example).My issues with this product are twofold:1. Despite reviews claiming otherwise, my phone can and will vibrate when inside the holder on journeys2. The arm mechanism has seemingly become loose after a day of usage. This means that the arm will, at certain angles, be unable to support the weight of the phone and inevitably flops, leaving you with a displeasing viewing angle. I have to move it about until I find an angle where it stays in place.Based on the other reviews, it appears I have received a faulty unit.EDIT: The seller came back to me fairly quickly with the offer of a replacement or refund based on this review, which I am pleased about; therefore I have decided to up my star rating to 4 stars. Will re-edit my review when I have a fully functional unit to test.EDIT 2: I received a replacement product very quickly after conversing with the vendor (less than 2 days), was impressed with the speed at which the company pushed out a replacement. I appeared to be sent a different model to the one I originally received. The replacement model is a matte grey colour with no aesthetic modifications, unlike the original product, which was a slightly glossy black colour.The replacement model's arm works, which I am happy about as that was my main gripe with the original product I received, however there is still a distinct, noticeable vibration when using roads that aren't smooth as butter (so, most roads in the UK). I find that if you can clamp/tighten the arm with something, it will considerably lower the vibrations to a point where you can filter them out. I am reverting back to my 3 star rating because of this.

I got this as a gift for my daughter, but I loved it so much that I've been using it. It's nice and great for usage a. For the price, this material is of excellent quality and has been beautifully made.
