Just like the "other", more expensive one
This little guy shocked me. Small, sturdily built. I boiled 2L of room temp water (60F outside) to a full rolling boil in exactly 20 mins then it continued to boil for another hour and 20 mins with a half of a "normal" sized firewood (dry oak split into 1" staves"). Burned very cleanly once it's going. Not much of a roar like other rocket stoves I've used but I was keeping it minimally fed. After an easy start, I put two staves in and pushed one in a little every five minutes. So not much work, just got to keep an eye on it since it has such a smart amount of fuel. I'm sure you could walk away for 15 mins if you cared less about fuel efficiency. Once you get used to the draft door you can probably dial it in even more. With the dradr door closed and checking every 5 mins, I had a perfect boil going. My only complaint is it would be nice if it were a little easier to clean, but it's by no means difficult or worth taking away a star.

Self sufficiency is the doorway to living fearlessly
Humans have to eat to live. Because of this high quality product I not longer fear power outages or emergencies. I know all I have to do is to go gather same small twigs and branches which are everywhere, and I can cook, eat and live....

Great add to our camping equipment
This little stove is amazing. Using Hand full of wood and some bark to start it Did a great job on cooking up some hamburgers in a cast iron pan. This is going to be a game changer for us in or camping trips. Instead of dragging around the BQ grill and large bag of charcoal this will be our outdoor cooking source in the future. Not big, takes less fuel to cook and can use different types of fuels. Wish I had known about this product earlier. I have shared this product with my camping friends who are very interested in purchasing it for themselves.

Well made, exactly what I expected.
This is more an emergency cook stove for home rather than a 'car camping' stove It is a cross between a 'rocket stove' and a cast iron gas stove. It's too heavy for hiking but will use anything from charcoal to wood for fuel so great for emergency use and large enough for serious cookware and stability. My home is all electric in a service area with less than 100% reliable power.

Not bad, not spectacular!
The media could not be loaded. First burn on the stove started quite easily. It really does take almost constant tending to keep a good fire going. It may be the type of wood, but there's a lot of ash. Probably wouldn't be good with an open cooking container. All in all, it got a large pot of coffee boiling, albeit longer than I expected. I would still recommend value for the price.

Burn great
This is solid for outdoor cooking. It is bulky but it keeps the heat well when burning large charcoal or wood.

Very easy and effective
I just tried this out with a simple water boiling test. I used a small amount of paper and kindling sticks to get it going. I didn’t time it, but I started with cold water and it started boiling in less than 40 minutes from lighting the initial fire. Now that the fire is going real strong, I’m sure the time to boil is reduced considerably. Also, with all the fire brick insulation, the outside of the stove is very warm to the touch. I could easily keep my bare hand on it. It also doesn’t take much wood to get the job done. I’m using packing material wood which is arguably not the best choice, but this performs really well. The only “con” I can see so far, and you should expect this, is that you’ll get soot collecting on any pot or pan used. If the power goes out and I need to boil water, the soot will be the least of my concerns.I definitely recommend this stove.

Ideal for car camping
I find the ecozoom versa and its clones like this product to be a little mis-marketed: the true niche is camping, specifically car camping. I cooked for 3 days using just this stove, no jetboil, did not use my BioLite camp stove, didn't cook over the campfire at all. This thing is very simple and very robust and produces an enormous amount of heat. I kept 4 liters of water at a rolling boil in a wide pot with the lid off. Only major challenge is dealing with the hotspot in the middle of the pan, but a cheap stainless steel heat diffuser has really helped with that.TLDR: a great piece of camping kit.
