After the big D I had the privilege of buying everything over again for my townhouse. I think the last area rug I bought was 4 figures, but I'm still addicted to groceries and electricity. I'm also a cheapskate. A picky cheapskate, but a cheapskate. And since the house is all hardwood floors downstairs, I needed something - anything!So, I bought this rug at the tail end of 2018 to go with my new sofa and a giant, empty room. I honestly wasn't expecting much, anticipating this would be a temporary fix. You know, one of those rugs that never lays flat, looks like a wavy potato chip and the vacuum keeps sucking up one of the corners and jamming. I've been pleasantly surprised. The rug is thick, soft and has worn extremely well.First off, it's not as dense as a rug costing 2-5x as much. However what you do get is a rug that is thick vertically, doesn't mat down and is easily as dense as a really good shag carpet. It's heavy. So no problems with the vacuum. Speaking of vacuum, half of the rug doesn't wind up inside the vaccum, it's quite sturdy. As far as wear and stain-fighting? Well, I've also been lucky enough to be taking care of my mother's 14 year old dog. Incontinent, never really house broken and pancreatitis so it drinks lots and lots of water. The rug wasn't even a week old and I forgot to close the toddler gate, so being tired of ruining the hardwood floors the dog made a B line to the nice, soft, absorbent rug. This has happened about 4-5 times now, but the rug cleans up nicely, but I've also been catching it fairly soon afterwards. There were a couple of spots I missed as they started darkening, but a little bit of resolve and some scrubbing/vacuuming and it looks great.The rug doesn't get a lot of traffic, but it does get walked on. After a year it still looks good as new. Oh, and I haven't bothered putting a non-skid mesh underneath it, nor stick-on corners to keep from curling, as I did for my mother's somewhat pricier area rugs. It stays put. As you can see from the photo, it's not quite an inch thick, but close. It's also not so high that the little robo-vac doesn't hop up on it, which was a bit of a surprise. The only problem I had was there was a bit of a crease in the warp when I received it, so there was a horizontal bump running from one side to the other for several weeks. But it does relax and lie flat if you have the same issue. Not enough to doc even half a star for the price.Pros:- high pile- fairly dense- heavy weight- edges lie flat- has not gone "fuzzy"- nice color combination- great price- excellent valueCons:- a few stray (overlong) tufts- bump problem (self-resolved)I like this rug enough I'm probably going to get another one in a different pattern, and move this one to the dining area. We've had this rug since March of 2015. I've attached a photo I just took to show how it's stood the test of time. It's only been cleaned with Resolve high traffic foam once or twice, we have a dog and two toddler boys, and we wear shoes in the house. So, I think this rug is a great value. It's soft and we get lots of compliments on it too!

Absolutely perfect rug!!! It looks more beautiful in person than the photo. Very plush and comfortable! Helped to modernize our family room! Excellent price for a great quality rug.

bought several months ago. (Picture really doesn't do it justice) Wanted to wait before reviewing to see how it would hold up. Have purchased rugs in the past that have been bad from day one or look great for a few months then begin to unravel, fray or wrinkle. This one has been great from day one and continues to be. No issues with it laying flat or wrinkling. (Did put a nonslip, trim to size grip under it.) Colors are neutral grayish tones with very light brown and the ivory. It isn't the softest due to the varying fabric lengths. I expected this so for me it's a non-issue. It's in our main living area where we are constantly walking on it and vacuuming it. It's holding up to the wear and tear no problem.

I’m really impressed with this rug. Normally I would not buy a rug online since you are unable to feel it and set the true colors and texture however it is as described in all the other reviews it’s very thick and plush like. It seems to be a really good quality and $80 isn’t bad at all for the size I got (11ft runner). I just got it today and it was rolled up- it’s the ending of the day and it’s completely flat which is great. It’s slides around so I’m going to use some carpet tape to hold it in place. It was great buy! Definitely recommend!!

I purchased this same rug in the 8 x 10 size at auction and fell in love with how wonderful it feels on my bare feet. Plus, it looks great with the high low texture, it is super easy to vacuum and I have not seen even tiny piece of shedding. All in all it is a great quality textile.So I looked here at my fav online retailer Amazon and there it is - the runner I needed for the living room entry. Only $20 and I am just thrilled because not only do I enjoy these 2 new rugs, I know they will be sturdy and will last for years. This makes my all tile home all full of Safavieh rugs - wool, viscose, cotton and now the shag in polypropylene. So far only a set of 3 from the same line was a miss of the 25 Safavieh brand rugs I've used thus far. It was not an expensive miss and Amazon is always more than happy to take the returns with Prime so I wasn't upset..

I bought this rug in 2017 and now I’m moving into a new place and need two more rugs for additional rooms. I’m tempted to purchase it again as I love it so much. Everyone compliments this rug. The colors are true to thr photos and match perfectly with my taupe and oatmeal furniture. It has endured thru 2 dogs one cat and plenty of foot traffic and still looks relatively new. I’ll look and see what else is out there but if I don’t find something I love I’ll be buying another one of these. Great quality - no under pad necessary. Vacuums beautifully

Good buy. It feels good on my feet. The pile is nice. I just got it so I haven’t needed to clean it yet. It may be an issue, it may not. The design is nice but where the colors are located there’s an indention. Instead of just vacuuming something tells me I will need to pull V extra tool off the back and really get into those crevices created by the indentions. 4 kids and a husband— I don’t need any extra work lol. It’s pretty so I recommend it. My OCD just goes into overdrive sometimes.

This is a fantastic rug. It is nice and thick. The shag is modern and feels soft underfoot. I would definitely recommend this. Its a keeper

It was advertised as being 5 ft 6 inches when we got it , it was 4 ft 1 in. Did not work where we wanted it.
