This kettle works very well and is reasonable priced. I opted for the 1.0 liter size which is perfect for me, as I usually don't require more than 2 cups of boiling water at a time. It boiled 2 cups in just about 3 min. but at full capacity it would hold just over 4 cups. It's much faster than using a pot on a stovetop and definitely more convenient (and faster) than boiling water in the microwave oven. For anything larger than 4 cups (ex., 6 cups needed to cook pasta), it's easy to empty and quickly boil another 2 cups to add to the pot. The top opens wide enough to fill in my refrigerator door dispenser and the handle doesn't heat up so it's very easy to dispense. I opted for the glass pitcher as I like to see the water inside. There are times for certain teas when I might want to stop it early so glass is much more convenient for me vs. stainless steel. The pitcher automatically turns off when done boiling and also there is a very visible blue light that stays on only while heating. Another safety feature is the auto-off when empty. Within seconds of turning the pitcher on with no water inside, it automatically shut off. For those not familiar with electric kettles, even immediately after heating water to boiling temperature, the base isn't hot (or even warm). So there's no danger when using the pitcher of you, or a child, accidentally getting burned by touching the base. So far this has been a great purchase for a great price!

Heats super fast, compact, attractive. I love the hinge top and it prevents any danger of water spilling out of the unit. Magnetic base and auto shutoff feature are perfect. No issues.

I worried that it was too flimsy. It was sturdy, and so useful. It takes the same amount of time to heat the water as heating a cup in the microwave. Now we can a pot of coffee, using the Melita way, and the pot heats the water quickly, and soooo hot, I love it. So very happy with it, I would recommend it to anyone.

This was purchased as I was sick at the end of last year. I wanted hot liquid to drink that was not caffeinated and began drinking fruit tea. I purchased this electric kettle for that purpose. It has been used multiple times a day for a month now and has been fantastic.The steel construction is very solid. You push the button and in a few minutes the water boils and you pour it in the cup. It does have a safety feature where when the water boils it will shut off within a minute or so. This is handy as sometimes I am made to join impromptu meetings and I cannot get up to shut it off. This was problematic using a pot on the stove. The kettle also retains heat pretty well so if you don't get right to pouring it the water is likely to still be hot enough to use.The capacity is enough for me. It equates to about four cups of tea. I've been averaging three or four a day which makes it perfect.Overall this is a high recommendation. Other commenters have stated they are drinking more tea now for owning it. I join the ranks of these folks. The ease of use and functionality are exactly what I was looking for.

I’ve had this product for about 1 year and a half and it still works great! It’s perfect if you don’t use much boiled water, since it is only 1 liter. The only downside to my kettle specifically is that after about 2 months the lid began to open on its own, which doesn’t allow for it to automatically turn off once the water is boiled. Overall, good quality!

Works well, no issues and nice looking kettle that blends into the rest of my kitchen appliances. Compared to my old electric kettle, boiling time is about the same m. Happy with purchase good price too!

This is an amazing little electric kettle. It heats up water fast and turns itself off after water is boiled. The unit is metal and sturdy. The size is compact but it holds a good amount of water. I like that the heating base stays cool with only the contact pin hot when in use. And it is still going strong after 8 years! Highly recommend.

I order this basic Amazon model, because the fancier imported model I had ordered a little over a year ago stopped working. So far, my new glass kettle is working perfectly! It holds a lot of water, is really fast at coming to a boil, shuts off automatically (a good thing, as I am a tad forgetful about such things), is easy to pour -- and was a very good price, less than the previous one. Am very pleased, I actually prefer this one... and so will stop being annoyed about the previous one's konking out on me!
