I would say they are true to size but I always buy half size bigger when I buy coconuts I find them more comfortable and I have many pairs

Q: What height is the shaft?

Shaft size will always vary by an inch or half an inch depending on the shoe size. For example a 6 could be 10" and a 7 could be 11"

Q: Are they a good fit for a larger calf?

I have larger legs but the boots are shorter so they totally fit. A bit snug but not uncomfortable. I can still wear them with leggings.
