Better than expected
I have ordered several sets of blackout curtains in the past. Some work better than others. I was pleasantly surprised at the heaviness and soft feel of these blackout curtains. Not only do they really block the sun, they also prevent noise and look luxurious. I like the fact they are a soft white rather than a bright white color. I would definitely purchase these again.

These are definitely blackout.
Even with this light color, these things are definitely blackout. I would have given these 5-stars overall, but they stunk when I opened the package. I had to wash them right away after testing them. Some people may not mind the smell, but it was very potent to me.But, like I said, even with this light color, they are definitely blackout. They have a black lining sewn in on all four sides, so they are not the same color facing outside. As you can see in the pics, I have the blinds open and you can't see any light except from the top and a little from the bottom. The pics were taken around noon and it was actually nice & sunny at the time. They are are not overly heavy, which I like, so I guess we'll see just how much they help as to keeping the cold MN weather out in the winter. I also added a pic of the other window in my room that has a set from Wally World that are also sold as blackout, but they definitely are only room darkening.If you can find a color you like, I would definitely recommend getting these.

Definitely blackout out curtains, but not as heavy as others. Beautiful silky emerald color- exactly what I wanted!

This curtain is great! My children loves it, they fall asleep fast they said it’s a great purchase. The room gets very dark; that’s why it’s called blackout curtain right? We liked it!

Great quality
Mixed it with black curtains for my kitchen theme and the fabric is great quality and blacks out as described. Just make sure you get the right length
