One hand operation to remove or lock my camera onto the holster. With this camera holster, the camera weight is carried on my waist rather than on my hand or neck. I also no longer have the problem of accidentally scraping my camera on the floor when bending over as the camera rests on my waist instead of hanging from my neck. During my last wedding shoot, I put one of my cameras on the holster and had another hanging from my neck.
