Will you be able to review ledgers with this light? Probably not. Can your teen paint their nails or work on math worksheets using this light? Definitely. Had a dark corner on my kitchen counter. Wanted to add light to it with a little drama. This lamp fits well on the counter underneath the upper cabinet. (There's a shorter version of this lamp but this taller style is better proportioned for my needs.) Added a few cutting boards and a brass tray and voila - the perfect corner vinyette. Installed an Alexa enabled bulb (Feit) timed to turn on at 5 am so the kitchen is already lighted. Can't rate brightness since I changed bulbs. Price is right. Quality is above average. Yep, I'm happy!
