I ordered the 8’6x12 in Ivory. Because of the weight, we had it delivered with Amazon’s $15. inside delivery service, which was also perfect. They brought it inside and opened it so I could see the backing and the fibers. They were careful, respectful of my home, took their time and made sure I was happy with it.This rug is so thick, soft and luxurious, I love walking across it with bare feet. Very good quality. No problems with it lying flat or uneven edges. Although it’s listed as Ivory, it really is a true Cream color with a barely perceptible hint of a warm undertone. It’s a perfect color match with a Smith Brothers Cream Chenille sofa. The price was amazing and less than a quarter of what I would expect to pay in a fine furniture or carpet store. The only drawback is not being able to use a vacuum with a beater bar, but we purchased a small, inexpensive shop vac for use with all of our rugs.

I love shag rugs, but they always end up.looking matted and funky after awhile.Regardless, I couldn't find any other cream colored area rugs I liked, so I took a chance on this one, given it's reasonable price and overall positive reviews.This is honestly the nicest shag rug I have ever purchased. It's lovely. The pile is thick and soft, and most importantly the shag is densely woven; this makes such a difference in overall quality. The rug doesn't immediately go flat as soon as you step on it.Clearly I was buying the wrong shag rugs all this time, because none of them have been this densely woven.I can't say with certainty, but this rug seems like it will hold up well over time. The rug is also not in a high traffic area, so I'm optimistic. Of course, I expect shag to not look it's best after awhile, and at this price point, I wouldn't be devastated to have to replace eventually.I would happily purchase another, and I highly recommend this for a quality shag rug that doesn't break the bank.

This rug is truly amazing! I very rarely write reviews but this rug deserved it! My husband and I have made comments almost daily about how much we love this rug. Our dog loves it too…so much so we considered getting rid of his dog bed because he lays on the rug way more than his bed now! Its incredibly plush even without a rug pad - thicker than any carpet in our house - yet it doesn’t feel “stringy” or “shaggy” like a lot of other cheap shag rugs. The fibers are super densely packed and we’ve had it for a few weeks and there are no signs of it getting matted down! I vacuum it weekly without the brush roll on and the dog hairs come out just fine. I would describe the color as “old fashioned vanilla icecream”. It’s definitely on the creamy side with a slight hint of yellow. I was sort of hoping for it to lean toward the oatmeal/tan side but it does not. If you’re trying to pair this with true white it won’t look good, but it works well with all of my ivory bedding and accents. The color doesn’t bother me so much because it was a great price and it is truly excellent quality! If I were to buy this quality of rug anywhere else it would have been well into the $400 range. I did some research on the different Safavieh rug lines before choosing this one and learned that the Milan rug (this one) has more densely packed fibers compared to some other lines of similar price, and I’m so glad I chose it! If you’ve been on the hunt for a creamy, dreamy, puffy cloud to cozy up your room, don’t bother looking any further!

I’ve purchased a few rugs of this brand and they do not disappoint. This is the real deal. A good rug for a good price. Soft, heavy, color as described. Love this rug for my space.

EDIT: Just got a second Safavieh Milan rug, 2 x 4, in dark gray, for next to my bed. JUST AS HAPPY WITH IT as the 3 X 5 purple rug I got for my sitting room. FYI, I was concerned the mix of light and dark fibers would make it look more salt and pepper, it appears charcoal to me unless I look at the fibers REALLLLY closely. LOOKS GREAT in my white, gray and purple bedroom!AND JUST A WARNING!!! PLS SEE BELOW.....It didn't come in any carton, just heavily wrapped in plastic, which was fine.HOWEVER, please note one must be REALLY careful when removing plastic wrap. The rug is wrapped tight as a sausage and I had to CAREFULLY snip the plastic away.In some areas it was more heavily overlaid in plastic and so I would NOT recommend something like boxcutters when getting plastic off.________________________PROS:LOOKS LIKE THE PURPLE IN THE IMAGE! - GREAT BRIGHT JEWEL TONE, but not TOO BRIGHT. it's not a muddy eggplant purple or a BRIGHT LIGHT purple. If you like the color in the image on Amazon, you'll like it in person.SOFT - IT's what I think of as a deep, short PLUSH rug. It doesn't have really LONG fibers, but it's PLUSH and SOFT like digging your toes into deep thick grass. This one was for my sitting area, I am getting a 2 X 4 for next to my bed.NO CHEMICAL SMELL - for those SENSITIVE, as I AM, I didn't notice any strong smell at all and it came heavily wrapped in plastic. It is just feet from where I am sitting typing this and NO SMELL and I just unwrapped it about an hour ago.SIZE -the 3 X 5 is grand for small rooms or areas (this is for a little sitting area where the focal point is Van Gogh's Irises in a LARGE print and this rug is in front of it) .NAME BRAND - it seems Safavieh has lots of good reviews for most of their rugs, so even tho I never bought one before, reviews convinced me.LAYS FLAT! - I was worried it wouldn't be FLAT, that it would be curled as that is how it comes in a box, but I think the WEIGHT of it is what helps flatten it right away.WHICH LEADS ME TO WHAT SOME MAY THINK OF AS PRO OR CON...IT'S HEAVY!!! For a 3 X 5 rug, it isn't just cumbersome to set down because of size, but it was a little difficult for me to maneuver because of WEIGHT! But then I'm in my late sixties and not a very big person...I THINK OF THE WEIGHT AS A PLUS THOUGH! Lays flat, LOOKS AND FEELS MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE THAN IT IS! IF A MEDIUM DARK AMETHYST STONE WERE A RUG, IT WOULD LOOK LIKE THIS! Has a rich sheen.

I absolutely love this rug. It is a very good value love the colour bought it in ivory, nice thick pile. I have a huge German Shepherd, and so far so good doesn’t show stains or marks, even in a light colour. I was concerned about that, but it seems to be wearing really well. Creases came out fairly quickly. For the price, this is a really good value

This rug was far too small. Not like photos.Have tried unsuccessfully to return and get a refund . Canada Post has delayed the return and I am not having luck getting help from the sender. Dissatisfied customer.

Carpet was nice but I was looking for a white shade like cream or off-white. This was more beige so it clashed with my decor.Purchased two of these. One was never received (I think they delivered to the wrong unit/building).Anyway, I was able to return the one and get a refund for both which was good.
