Mower Runs Like New on the First Pull!
Installation for my Craftsman Mower Model Number 917.374541 (Engine is Briggs and Stratton 128T02-1270-B1). The price and convenience is right for me compared to trying to deep clean or rebuild the original. It was a very simple job that took 20 minutes including replacing Air Filter and some cleaning of the area. The kit came with Gasket and O-Ring which we used. It also came with replacement fuel line, clamps, springs, and fuel filter which we did not need. It appeared that the Springs would fit if needed; it is nice to have those in case the originals break.Tools used: Open Ended wrenches (including a small 1/4 inch one) and small sockets. You could possibly do it using Pliers with patience and care not to round-off the bolt heads. But at least sockets are needed for the bolts the secure the Carb to the Engine. Do pay careful attention to the Throttle and Choke Spring linkages: They are not hard to get off/on but they need care. I took a few photos of the original Carb setup first in case I went all dear-in-the-headlights during reassembly. The mower started literally on the first pull (though we also replaced the Spark Plug and used fresh gas).If this Carb fails within the next few years, I will update this review. But we are very happy at this point! Good luck!UPDATE 6 JUN 2021: Two things: This is the second season with the first installed replacement Carb and it is still running like new (installed in June 2020). I use fuel stabilizer over the winter and fresh gas now in the spring. And based on my luck the first time, I just bought another one. This time for my Dad's Craftsman Mower 917.370770 (Engine is Briggs and Stratton 126T05-1070-B1). The kit came with a fuel filter (which I didn't use) and some fuel line (which I did use because the original on this second mower was cracked and rotting). The only reason I didn't add in the filter was because there are only 2 hose clamps with the kit (and the new tube OD is smaller than the original, so I couldn't reuse those with the new tubing) and those 2 supplied went to the fuel tank end and the Carb end. The only thing that was a little off is that the spring for the governor linkage that is supplied with the kit seems just a little stiffer, and that is causing the mower to run faster than it used to. I will probably be able to adjust-in the speed; and if not I will reinstall the original spring. If need be, I would buy this a 3d time without hesitation!

Easy to install and works!
Easy install on Toro recycler 22 inch lawn mower. Mower started on 5th pull after install and it runs great. Very nice to include everything needed for install even gov and choke springs with extras. Great item!

Carb works great, but threads needed some attention.
This carburetor resolved the no-start issue with my mower. I diagnosed the carburetor as the issue because I was able to get the mower running by spraying starter fluid into the carburetor. It would only run while spraying the fluid. Replacement of the carburetor is much simpler and quicker than doing a rebuild, and aftermarket availability makes that financially sensible as well. Once I replaced it, along wit a fresh air filter the mower started on the first pull. The only issue with it was that I had to clean the threads up in one of the holes that the air cleaner housing bolts to. I matched the thread pitch from one of the screws and it was a #10-32. Once I ran the tap through with a little cutting fluid then cleaned off the debris, everything bolted up just fine. Also, please take note of all the details of your carburetor. I was replacing one on two different mowers. This one is for the mower without a primer button. The mower with a primer has a carburetor with one butterfly valve in it, and one corresponding black pivot on the top. I made the mistake of ordering two of the other ones and having to return one for the correct one.

great direct replacement
Worked really well on my old Craftsman lawnmower -- great direct replacement, mower started right up. Nice way to revive a lawnmower for about $20.

Incredible value, looks as good as OEM, delivered in 1 day!
Installed this on a Toro Easy Start "Upright Storable" 128M02 0017-F1 14021358 Briggs & Stratton engine, 5 year-old mower. (I wanted a mower that would store upright.)Engine would start, then never get up to speed, then die after a minute or so. Pushing the handle down, raising the front of the deck helped a little, but engine still stopped. When I use the mower the week before...it ran fine.So..went through the usual diagnosis steps: check air filter, spark plug, fuel line, check float bowl and needle valve, flush lines...no change. (replaced the spark plug).Neither the Briggs & Stratton web site or my user manual listed engine parts, so I did an internet search and found this carb on Amazon. For less than $10, I took a chance. The description said it would fit my mower...but ya never know until you get it in front of you.Fits perfectly with one minor exception: had to clean out the hole on the outside butterfly valve handler to allow assembly. Carb body fit perfectly: did not use the O ring. My engine has a rubber boot on the engine intake that was in good shape.Removal of the old carb and installation of the new one was relatively easy. Since I had never changed the carb on this engine, I moved slowly and carefully to figure things out. If I ever had to replace the carb again....it would take me 30 minutes at most.Pulled the rope and the engine roared to life....mowed the front and back lawns without any problems.Original carb lasted 6 years...will be interesting to see how long this one lasts. I'm tempted to order another to put on the shelf.....One note: the carb on my 20+ year old Honda mower works perfectly and the engine runs the same. The secret is synthetic oil for the engine and apparently a better made carb than the Toro.

I'm a mechanic my local lawn mower store wants 105.00 for a carburetor for my troy built self propelled mower I was shocked the price on this carburetor I tore it down it is a quality carburetor with good parts the same as my original carburetor on my Troy-Bilt don't be afraid to purchase it after installing it it ran excellent no problems now mind you my Troy Bill carburetor was also made in China but this carburetor that I bought on Amazon looks better built for what I could see by tearing it down don't be afraid to buy it
