Social Research Methods, 4th Edition 4th Edition

I am a doctoral student and just happened upon this book as I was looking for others required by my courses. I thought it looked like something I might be able to use, so I purchased it. I was so pleased with my decision to do so! This book is so easy to read and guides a researcher through all the processes and procedures for conducting research on a doctoral level. I learned so much from just reading through some of the sections which applied to my courses and have used it as a reference on many occasions. If you are a beginning researcher and still need some help and guidance, this is definitely a purchase you won't regret. I highly recommend it!

If you wanna learn about Methodology, this is the book

It's a good book but the texts on the inner pages are hard to read because there is too small space between the spine and the left margin...

This book was recommended to me by a professor who worked primarily with qualitative research methods. I read this during my final year of my doctoral studies, and I continue to believe that it is one of the more comprehensive research texts I have read. I think an ideal 3 semester course of research methods classes could be structured around this book which mixes discussion of design and methods with segments on the tools of research (i.e., qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods). Unfortunately, based on my experience, there is more emphasis in US graduate programs on the tools (mostly statistical modeling) than on method and design.

My book was in great condition and I received it promptly. I'm very satisfied! Now if they could do my assignments for me..lol. I wold definitely purchase for this seller again. I'll be back next quarter.

Effective coverage of quantitative and qualitative methods. Writing is clear and consistent. Good comments, examples and stories written by students about their research experiences..

Wonderful overview of social research methodology. A must read for those learning of the methods required for conducting professional research.
