Great sun screen
We have a deck that gets killed by the late afternoon sun (the same time we are wanting to be out on the deck to enjoy a drink or dinner). These installed easy, have held up really well to wind, rain, and sun. Great purchase.

Does Not Allow Wind to Pass Through
I bought the 6.6ft by 9.9 ft sun screen.Hangs easily on screened, balcony patio. Does provide relief from hot, direct sunlight. Lightweight, so it was easy to work with And the sheerness still allows me to see the wetlands through it. The trim reinforcement and grommets are good. I selected a size that was actually well more than enough. Appearance doesn't matter to me, it's fine with me. Zip ties included are a bonus, so thank you for that! You'll need STRONG hooks on your walls or surface to attach this to. Stronger than indoor 3M hooks, that's for sure. Made that mistake and the winds blew this inward like a parachute, knocking over 3 plants as it ripped the hooks off the walls of the screened balcony patio. That's was a mess. While I'm happy for the shade from the direct sunlight for up to 8 hours a day, I'm disappointed that this does NOT allow for wind to pass through more easily. This is already problematic for me, for where I live, just one day into receiving and hanging this product.

Works great
It blocks the view day and night giving us the privacy we were looking for. The screen is almost unnoticeable so no complaints from the association. On windy days it reduces the wind so it makes it nicer to sit on the balcony especially on colder days.

Does not provide either shade or privacy
I bought this so called "shade" to help block the sun from shining into my west facing kitchen. But the material barely blocks any light, it is so lightweight and loosely woven. It hardly makes any difference and the sun is still shining in almost at full brightness. I'm going to have to buy another shade so I can work in my kitchen in the late afternoon. Not only does it not block the sun, it is very see through, so it's not going to provide much "Privacy" either. I call it a fail for all purposes.

IMPRESSIVE
I am going to be honest, for the price, I thought these would be kind of crappy and I would need to replace them in a few weeks. I still spent a few bucks, got them, and was quite impressed by the quality. These are very well made. They go up fairly easily and do a great job of making some shade on our front porch. There is more than enough tie off material to secure the shades and enough zip-ties that I have a ton left over. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone looking for some shade and privacy.

Not good In Windy Conditions
Although this looks great and offers a fair amount of privacy, it absolutely does not withstand New Mexico winds. I have replaced the zip ties twice and during the last windy day, the rivets ripped out of the shade cover randomly on all sides so in the trash it went. If you live in an area with wind, you might want to find something else for privacy.
