I have two very prickly plants that make it challenging to maintain without constant scratches.I am glad I did my research before buying as I nicked off from my first 2 options based on reviews.Three reasons I picked these:1. adjustable strap to keep the sleeves up (brilliant!);2. Them holes; and3. material that would not easily tear or catch.The straps do their job. I think going with straps offers more flexibility for sizing vs a silicone/rubber trim, which may aggravate the skin with all yhe motion from gardening. (The skin of my arm insides is a tender area.)The straps and thumb holes mean I can tackle gardening tasks without constantly adjusting the sleeves.The material is quite thick. I took my favorite utility knife to the sleeves to see how easily they'd catch or tear. I purposefully dragged the edge & tip, and the sleeves held up extremely well. The last swipe I really dug and dragged the tip - and got the tiniest snag. Very happy with the result as my arm was protected whole time.I then tested them on a plant. Dragon fruit thorns grow in one direction so they didn't always catch, but when they did, my arms were completely protected.I am very pleased with my purchase and look forward to repotting my dragon fruit, a task I have been putting off.Bonus: at 19", I have full coverage for my arms.

I'm not sure how to rate these sleeves. I'm sure as heck not going to take a knife and try to cut thru the sleeve, nor am I going to stick my arm into a thorny rose bush and wave it around to test it. So I will rate it by the way they fit... and they fit just right. I'm a big guy, and I thought these were going to feel like a tourniquet based on some reviews, but they fit snugly, they don't move around, the adjustable strap at the elbow and the thumb hole keep them in place.

Garden sleeves appear to be tough and great protection from branches which normally penetrate my arms causing cuts.

Bought lime green sleeves. Perfect length, fit well. I could feel a breeze through them when the wind blew but they did get a little warm, however did not get bug bites or cuts. I am very pleased.

Keeps you arms safe & possibly visible during emergency & disasters relief. A variety of sizes. Resists mosquitoes, abrasions, obstacles, foreign matter you don't want on your skin. Preventing direct heat..

Thicker than I expected (can get kind of warm) but well made and rather comfortable. If it matters: package came in see through plastic with label instead of in an Amazon box.

I was excited to receive these as I was looking forward to using them when putting hay out for our flock. My excitement turned to disappointment when I saw how easily the fabric snags (was snagged by the Velcro used to close the top of the arm gators). I did use them when putting out hay. They worked. The fit wasn’t the best though. They were too big in the hands and way too tight around the arms, especially my upper arms. Plus they were way too long. I might be able to make these work ok if I take them to a sewing machine and make a few adjustments. As far as being puncture resistant…..very skeptical on this as well. Would I recommend these to a friend. A definite NO.

Works really well. We use these sleeves to protect our arms from a very enthusiastic large puppy that wants to play all the time 🤣 also, they’re very comfortable.
