Enjoying my odd desk chair
I went out on a limb when I bought this, but I've enjoyed it a lot. I fidget and have trouble sitting still (ADHD) and I like how this chair allows me to change my position up. Sometimes I'll sit with one knee up or perch differently besides sitting cross-legged. When I do sit cross legged, the chair helps me sit in a nice posture. Overall I'm happy I bought it.

Not Durable
For the first 8 months that I had the chair it was quite nice -- I appreciated the ability to sit in it a number of ways. It seemed sturdy as a heavier person. The smaller seat was difficult to adjust and the chair itself is quite tall. This worked fine for me as I use an adjustable height deks anyway. However, it is beginning to shed what seems to be extremely fine fiberglass particles from the underside of the raised seat, causing irritation when sitting on the chair. The connection between the base and the post of the chair is starting to feel wiggly. I would have hoped that this chair lasted longer than my last two office chairs since it was twice the price but alas.

Good enough, but not as they designed it
As many other reviews mention, there are a lot of problems with the seat. It is too hard, it sits up too high, it is difficult to adjust (and the presets are too far apart to fine-tune the height), and it is not correctly tilted for proper cross-legged posture. Using it one and a half days absolutely killed my butt. I think this design failed to take account that the lower platform has a height of a normal office chair, but the seat itself is higher. Because your torso will of course rise and fall with wherever you place your butt, the result is that this seat is quite a bit higher than most office chairs. My table is about 26 inches in height, and all other height settings but the absolute lowest were too high to achieve ergonomic placement of my hands and shoulders. I had to remove the wheels to get correct positioning of my upper-body as well as my legs and lower body. However, what makes it completely impossible to achieve a completely correct posture is the fact that now tilt adjustment is available on the seat (which needs to tilt independent of the platform). This tilt is necessary for the hips to be aligned correctly so as to engage the lower spine in a way that allows one to keep their back completely straight without much muscle use. This hip adjustment is also only possible when the knees are lower than the hips. If anyone wondered how monks could sit in unmoving meditation posture for an hour or more, this is how. It is actually the healthiest posture that one can remain in for a long period of time, provided that you are flexible enough to get into it. I am an avid meditator and I wanted to transfer the postural benefits of meditation to my home office. Unfortunately, as-designed, this is not possible with this chair. The solution I found is to remove the seat entirely, and just get a meditation cushion to put on the platform. My cushion happens to be the perfect height for my upper body as well. With that, I can use this chair to its full potential. It uses strong, sturdy materials for the base and wheels, so that is a plus.

1 year max...
I purchased this product because of my lower back issues, and while the ability to sit in this position has been nice, the chair does not hold up - Now I am no expert on how long a $250 chair should last, but I purchased it 1 year, 4 months ago - and its going in the trash now. I weight significantly less than the rating of this chair, and it doesn't get abused - however it does get used daily. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect:2 Months after purchase: Lower bar for butt pad adjustment gouging into legs of chair causing metal on metal damage.6 months after purchase: "leather" started deteriorating in placed of frequent contact (where foot rests cross-legged and butt area (peeling and coming apart) - I have removed the seat and started using a throw pillow instead.8 months after purchase: air piston to adjust seat height no longer works, chair can only be in the lowest position.1 year after purchase: the connection where the piston meets the metal brace connecting it to the chair underside is really wobbly and squeaky. I tried to see if I could tighten it up - but there is nothing to fix. Used some WD40 but it did not help. It appears the weld might be loose and I do not have, nor am I skilled in welding whatever metal this is made of.Now (1 year, 4 months): I worry that it will slip with me on it and ill wind up on the floor or worse, the rod might come through the chair. I have used this chair as much as I can hoping to feel like I have gotten my $250 worth - but today it goes in the landfill. We live in a throw away society.I have been considering attempting to reupholster it, but I don't see a way to fix the bracket and I don't know how to make legs for it to replace the piston...

NOT worth the money
Like other reviews - this expensive chair does NOT hold up with any sort of longevity you'd expect after spending so much.I am far under the weight limit but I'm constantly pulling the seat back up multiple times a day. I pulled the small top seat off when that also refused to stay up and just kept gouging out the bottom part near the wheels instead. I bought the orange one but it discolors easily for something meant for cross-legged sitting. The only positives were the color and the size. I am now in the market for a new desk chair 1.5yrs later.DO NOT BUY.

Wasn’t As I hoped.
I was extremely excited for this to arrive, as I work from home and have been wanting it for a while. It’s comfortable for short periods, but also isn’t padded very well and gets uncomfortable after time. It’s not easy to adjust, and extremely tall for normal desks.I will likely be returning due to the top portion breaking as well after less than 30 days of having.
