Comparing 2Pet to Outward Hound
Fits my Borzoi very well! I pinned the extra straps with rubber bands because she is still growing but this backpack has a wide range of sizing due to the long straps. She has a 30 inch chest circumference and an 18 inch waist, and there is a lot of room to spare. Very customizable:)The dog on the right is Lana modeling this backpack. Our other dog Dyson is on the left wearing Outward Hound, a different brand of backpack in the same size (L).Both packs are durable and have their pros and cons.I like that 2pet (pink) is a little more stable. If I have a water bottle on each side and then put my phone in too, it won't slide off from the weight of my phone or keys. I like the removable saddle bag feature. I also like how there are 3 clips which make it easier to put on the dog.Outward Hound, the other brand shown in green has lasted us over 2 years and is still very durable (the pink backpack has only been around for a few weeks at the time of this review). The zipper works better than 2Pet. The outward hound does slide around a little more and will unbalance on the dog unless the weight is EXACTLY right. For example, if you have just one pair of keys or even a couple of baggies to pick up poop on one side, that tiny amount of weight will make the bag slide to one side a little. So if you can literally weight each side the same it will be a good bag. Also it only has 2 clips so every time you take it off and put it on you have to put the dog's right foot though a strap. This one is a little less adjustable, and I don't like that it doesn't have straps on the pockets to secure water bottles that slosh around. Very minor details, but overall both bags are great and time will tell how 2pet holds up. It feels about the same durability as Outward Hound so I have high hopes!

Getting the pup used to it, but we love it!
I took one star off because I think the sizing is inaccurate. I measured my puppy and went with their recommendations (I believe I purchased a Medium) and it was a little big. She should be done growing, so I was worried, but luckily we can tighten just about every strap so it fits well. The pockets are good size, we purchased collapsible dog bowls and they fit perfectly in the side pockets! There's a handle on the spine we can hook a leash to, or a caribbeaner, or whatever! We have a large water/dog food bottle that didn't fit in the pockets but we hooked it on top and it worked great! I'll have to upload a picture later.Just note, dogs don't like wearing things, especially if they're not used to anything like this, so don't think you're dog is uncomfortable when you first put it on and they are acting like they have to relearn how to walk. After a few rounds of fetch in this, she hardly noticed it, but in the beginning it seriously looked like she had forgotten all function! LOLLove this! The Pink is cute too!

I would have paid twice the price for this happily.
I have a yr old german shepherd, and while I use to be able to keep up with her during a run, her stamina/speed has far surpassed me at this point. While she is always with me, I felt like no matter what I did or how long I had her out, she would always have a ton of unspent energy. I started looking up dog weights, but ended up finding saddlebags for dogs instead. It made sense since I figured I could just put weights in saddlebags. After looking around, I saw this one, liked the style/color and decided to buy.Just got it a little over an hour ago. I filled up both pockets with pea gravel(just what I had on hand, turned out to work well though). I was slightly concerned at first that adding too much weight to the pockets would rip the seams, but it seems to be sturdily made and I have no doubt I could add 3x the weight of what I'm doing right now without concern. We just went for a run, and her normal sprinting turned to an easy going jog. She could still take off she wanted, but it was obvious she was more focused on carrying the load rather than running all over the place. I started off with not a lot of weight out of concern for her, but I'll probably add more on my second go. The harness also doesn't bother her at all, which is surprising since most I've purchased in the past had driven her crazy. Straps were easily adjustable and I really like the detachable velcro saddlebags. Allows me to take off the weights to let her run around without fully removing the harness.I would have paid twice the price for this happily.

Cheap straps and poor strap design will hurt the dog! And it falls apart!
Reasons I bought it-- quite large capacity, removable saddle bags, and I couldn't afford a pricey pack. Should have just splurged on something more expensive anyways, cause this was a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY and the straps CUT MY DOG'S SKIN.My dog is a German Shepherd with a thick coat, and he had a second padded/cooling harness underneath this one cause the design looked questionable right off the bat. Worst part is how the chest strap goes up into the armpit with such thin, abrasive material. All the weight for the load is put on the chest straps with this design, and it absolutely will tear up the poor pups skin. I feel awful for putting my dude through this.Tried a ton of different things to make it ride straight, but it would not. I had even perfectly measured his load on a kitchen scale to ensure it was even. The saddle bags kept ending up on one side or the other.I adjusted and readjusted the thing at least 15x, never got it to do right. Took it off and carried it myself once I realized it had cut him. Also, the stitching started coming apart within hours. Bags were not overloaded nor heavy.Should have just returned immediately. Wish I could get a refund cause this was more than a waste of money.
