I opened the controller to see how it was assembled
Unfortunately, this item is made in China so -1 star for that one. Personally I would have paid more for if it was USA made. Note that based on the price, I was expecting this. That said, the steel enclosure is really solid and the paint job and artwork is excellent. Mine was blue printing on a metallic background, which looked a little different than the picture. It comes with stick on feet that you apply yourself. I can see having to replace those down the road. Switches seem to be very sturdy, but they lack a tactile 'click' sound and feel under foot. I have to look at the device that I'm controlling with the pedal to verify that the switch closed. It works every time, but nevertheless I keep having to visually check because there is no click sound or feel.I took the back off to see what was inside. Very very thin wiring ties the switches together. 24 gauge or maybe even less. But, I suppose that since this doesn't carry any audio signals and the wiring is protected by the steel, the lack of more copper or shielding is fine.Overall I'm happy with it.

Basic foot switch
Had to use this switch instead of the TC Helicon foot switch when TC Helicon had a long back order on their switches.Same circuit, same plug. Works the exact same. Do not think you can just wire up three switches and make your unit work. The circuit inside requires a couple of diodes. But, no batteries. Solid built and worth the money.

Digitceh foot controller
I bought it for my old Digitech digital delay as a foot control option. Controls some aspects of the unit but doesn't shut the unit off completely by footswitch as I had hoped. Still learning what it DOES shut off.

Quality footswitch
I use this footswitch for selecting presets on a Digitech TSR-12 Multi Effects Processor. It works exactly as intended.

Good Substitute for Boss ME-50 FS-6 Footswitch..
First off, no Boss or Digitech foot pedal is worth $35-$50, when you can build one easily for $20 or less. With that in mind, this pedal is another option for your Boss ME-50 multi-effects pedal, this one having three buttons instead of the two foot switches on the FS-6. This pedal used to be silver and blue, but has the same configuration, so if you come across one in good condition, they're the same. In memory mode the up/down momentary buttons are functional to change bank numbers, and in manual mode all three buttons work to turn on/off the compressor and/or tone modify settings (turn on/off each one, turn off both of them, toggle between them). This footwitch itself is fairly sturdy, but if you have a habit of kicking the switches sideways or putting your full weight on one you might be replacing the switches on a regular basis.
