She sliced up a few jícama and put them in the oven. Xin, who loves to snack on chips tried that first batch and fell in love. This was the first chip that felt like eating potato chips but without the guilt. What makes your product special?JicaChips are the 1st chips made out of jícama. We are introducing this under utilized root vegetable to the health conscious consumer. What has been the best part of your startup experience? The best part of the creation process was on the day we made that first batch of chips. Having created something so healthy without compromising on taste was an amazing feeling. The challenge afterwards was to scale up that process. We spend a lot of time ensuring every chip is as healthy and delicious as that first batch.

JicaChips Jicama Chips, Sea Salt.
I am a fan of fresh raw jicama, but not so thrilled with these JicaChips Jicama Chips, Sea Salt. They are low fat, low calorie, Non GMO, gluten free, paleo and have 5g fiber which is good. I don't like how the chips feel like they are going to stick in my esophagus if I don't chew them very slowly so they are mixed with plenty of saliva to wash them down. Good training tool for reminding me to chew my food thoroughly though. One reviewer said the chips taste overly salty. I didn't find them to be overly salty. The sodium content is 200 mg/serving (too high for a strict cardiac diet which usually recommends 140 mg or less per serving, but not high compared to most salty snacks.). Each 0.9oz bag is one serving.

Three Stars
Good but too expensive!

Not tasty. Very hard and sharp. Very small amount in the bag.
These are a great substitute for potato chips in the same way a toilet brush would be a great substitute for a toothbrush. I really wanted to like these, but unfortunately, I have taste buds. Thankfully there are not many in the bag, so I feel less guilt in throwing them out. But I would recommend saving your money - these are not cheap and they are NOT tasty.

I like the taste
I like the taste, and the nutritional profile of it. It's made with very clean ingredients but the texture is very different than your regular chip. Because they are baked and have very little oil, they are very hard and have a stale chip consistency.

Cost a LOT for what you get!
I really wanted to like them. But.... sadly no.

Overpriced
These were very good but so over priced. There are about 5 chips to a bag. Ridiculous!

Totally DIS-AGREEABLE, never again!
Almost a chore, to eat, was extremely, disappointed, did not eat, even though, it was totally, acceptable to my diet more astringent, than a paleo diet!

It's a great alternative to potato chips
It's a great alternative to potato chips, but I've had a few chips in every bag that are tough/not crisp.
