The desired result is a superficial peel, which is a chemical exfoliation extending to the deep layers of the epidermis. It causes the cells to coagulate and liquefy and peel off over the days following application. This type of peel is ideal for sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and fine lines and wrinkles.Glycolic acid does not self-neutralize, and will remain active until a neutralizing agent is applied. Baking soda or sodium bicarbonate mixed with water will achieve this. Note that upon neutralization, there may be burning, tingling, or stinging.There are necessary steps to ensure proper exfoliation:1) cleanse face with a gentle cleanser to remove dirt, makeup, and excess oil2) thorough degreasing using acetone or alcohol. I use alcohol wipes. This is a very important step for uniform penetration into the layers of the epidermis3) prepare a bowl of cold water and baking soda mixture4) protect areas where the product may pool by applying vaseline to the corners of the nose and eyes4) apply in an even layer by dropping the gel directly onto the skin and spreading it in a thin layer using gloved hands, or apply it using an applicator such as cotton rounds. I have found that direct application onto the skin achieves the best results.5) monitor closely for increasing redness and the appearance of a light or patchy "frost". This is termed Level I frosting and is a sign of penetration to the deepest epidermal layer.6) Upon the first sign of light frosting, neutralize the acid with your baking soda solution by applying it directly to the face or with a clean washcloth, note this will cause burning, stinging, or tingling. The optimal time for me is between 4-6 minutes.7) rinse with cold water and apply a cold compress to soothe the area8) dry and liberally apply an emollient such as vaseline or a peptide serum of your choice9) for the first 24 hours do not use a facial cleanser. you may resume normal cleansing after 24 hours.10) sun protection using SPF 30+ sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat is critical for at least the next 10 daysExfoliation will occur over the next few days and complete reepithelialization (complete cell turnover) will be complete in 7-10 days. This product is an actual acid. The longer you leave it on the more it will burn your skin. Follow the directions provided. I wish it came with an actual direction booklet as opposed to scanning a QR code. Once you apply it, it does take a couple of days to encourage the peeling process. DON’T PICK YOUR SKIN!!! It will make it worse.

I've been using this product for a month and have seen no signs of improvement in skin tone, color, spots, etc. In fact, it never has peeled my skin. It stings like crazy but it doesn't create a peel.

This 50% acid should work but it didn’t do anything , left it on 5 minutes, no tingling, nothing. I’m thinking maybe it’s a bad bottle. Used the 30% before very effective at giving a smooth fresh face.

I really like this product it takes a few sessions for them to really show results. I'm only on my 4th spaced 4 to 5 days apart. Be smart make sure you have no scratches or have picked at your face a day before at least I don't even use my Mia the day of. Watch your skins reaction in the mirror once it starts getting red it needs to be neutralized IMMEDIATELY even waiting a few seconds longer to wet a rag can lead to chemical burns and sores. Don't freak out when the neutralizer sizzles on your skin it hurts like a b****, the peel itself isn't bad at all, the sizzle doesn't make sores or prolong the acids effect it makes your entire face red which goes away quickly.I use this before bed AFTER my shower.I put the acid in a small flat dish and apply with a fan brush you don't want to use use your fingers! Before I apply acid I set up my COLD 1/2 baking soda 3 cups water which I put in a gallon jug so I can shake it and make sure the baking soda was thoroughly blended than I soak 3 rags in their own bowl. The acid is gelish so the rag get full fast so you need 2 rags to thourouly wipe off, then when you think you have it all off take the 3rd rag cover your entire face with it and lightly press down if you have no more sizzle that means the acid is all gone, and you can rinse with cold water no soap.Then add your peptide serum (there is a product that is named "peptide serum" the 3rd pic it advertises it has peptides but when you get the bottle the ingredients are different and have no peptides so be aware of that I even contacted seller and they just copied and pasted the same advertisement as their answer.I use matrixyl 3000 peptide serum the 4th pic, you need to have the peptides don't get too caught up with collagen since the skin can't absorb it it's useless. On the 1st day of peel I don't use a toner, just the serum and then after it's dry apply night cream. I use Donkey Milk by Soa'e Walmart $6. Then call it a night!Make sure to SPF daily afterwards as your skin will be sensitive and you can get splotchy and undo what you've goaled to do with the acid. It has softened my brow frown crease slightly. Time will tell for sure. Its totally worth it! I hope my directions help!

I wish I’d known about this stuff before going to a dermatologist. I was experiencing dark splotches on my face, that I later learned just needed to be exfoliated. Within a few weeks of using this product, I noticed a lightening of the area and marked improvement. It’s acid, so it lifts the outer, external layer of dead skin off the face gradually over time to expose new skin. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully because the product will burn your skin if you leave it on too long or use it too frequently. Great product. Worked for me.👍🏼

It's like a mild chemical peel, wear gloves and follow the instructions. Wait a couple of hours after shaving or it will sting a bit. I leave it on for twenty minutes or more, but first time follow instructions.Also have a solution of baking soda and water to wash it off. I soak a paper towel in the baking soda solution and wipe the area to neutralize the acid.

For face, it really works, but minimum 2-3 application each at an interval of 1 week should be done in order to see the results

I actually didnt think this would work but wow its only been a week an my skin has cleared so much!!
