Saucy Lips Authentic Mexican Gourmet Sauce Variety pack of 3
The Best Sellers 3 pack of Mexican cooking sauces are vegan, gluten-free, certified keto, Whole30 and no sugar is added. The 8 ounce pouches are designed to be added to 1 pound of protein of choice (black beans are mentioned) and the sauce varieties are Taco, Fajita and Green Enchilada. The flavors are genuine and delicious, the ingredients are natural and they offer a way to add complex seasonings and pull a meal together quickly. If interested in specifics in the company’s photos on the product page include a picture of the nutritional and ingredient labels. Nutritionally there is no added sugar although there is a small amount naturally occurring from the ingredients, calories, carbohydrates and fiber are low One sauce has 1 gram of protein but the others have none and there is no fat or cholesterol in any of them. As with many prepared foods, sodium is high ranging from 12 to 19 percent of daily value.I used the fajita sauce to make open-face burritos with black beans along with grilled bell peppers and onions along with diced left-over polenta that I topped with a dollop of light sour cream. The result was excellent with the sauce providing delicious spicy flavor without any heat to the otherwise bland beans and polenta. To estimate shelf-life at the time of this review in March 2022 the Best By date is 8 months in the future but dates will vary. Excellent.

Tangy
I'm not much of an authentic Mexican cook. When I make tacos, my seasoning is strictly limited to those little packets of powder that come in the Old El Paso kits. Since I enjoy pouring the Saucy Lips brand bottled sauces over my meals for a kick of heat, I was eager to see how these bags of cooking sauces measured up. Not surprisingly, they're just as good, if not better. So far, I've tried two of the three - Taco and Enchilada. These have a much livelier and more piquant flavor than the big-name store brands (Old El Paso and Ortega). If you enjoy vinegar-based hot sauces, like Frank's Red Hot or Louisiana, these will be right up your alley. I especially enjoyed the green enchilada sauce, which complemented my home-made white bean and cheese enchiladas perfectly with the slightly smoky taste of tomatillos, tangy cider vinegar, a hint of sweetness from raisins and heat from jalapenos. If you're looking to expand your Mexican cuisine horizons without sacrificing convenience, these really can't be beat.

Great flavors and (mostly) convenient
It was fun to try all three of these. I'll review each one separately below. All in all, I really liked them, but the taco sauce was by far my favorite for convenience and flavor.Fajitas: This pouch calls for bell pepper and onion, so it was maybe the most involved of the three, but I had dried versions of those, which made it a bit easier to make. If I had had to chop them, this pouch might not have seemed like as much of a time-saver. I made this one with beef and beans (about 1/4 beans--not many), and placed them on corn tortillas. It's my second favorite of the three. I wish it were a bit spicier.Green enchiladas: With this one, you pour the sauce over the tortilla-wrapped protein. I used corn tortillas (due to allergies) and beans. This one was too bland for me, maybe nothing goes on the protein inside of the enchiladas. I would have liked it better if the protein had been flavored, as well. (I also wish I'd used beef instead of beans.)Tacos: Since I'm allergic to dairy, tacos aren't too much fun for me and are bland without cheese and such. Well, this worked up amazingly well, and I loved the flavor with just the flavored ground beef in the taco shells. Yum! The only negative thing I'd say about this sauce is that, as with the fajitas, you cook the meat IN the sauce (rather than precooking the meat), so there's no draining it, and the taco meat ends up greasier that way. But, despite that, this was my favorite and so good.

Fresh, delicious, easy-to-use, not too spicy, Mexican sauce blend sampler.
A three-flavor set of Mexican cooking sauces. One each: tacos, fajitas, and green enchilada. The sauces are flavorful, fresh, colorful, and add genuinely Mexican flavors in an east-to-use pre mixed blend. None of the three sauces in this kit were overly spicy or hot. Suitable for any protein or bean and ready in 15 minutes. No added sugars in any of the blends and gluten free and vegan.A good way for a customer to sample three of the best sellers in the Saucy Lips cooking sauce line. The sauces are in convenient laminated pouches that prevent leaks, keep air and containments out, and preserve freshness. As a laminated pouch, they are generally not recyclable.Low calorie at between 10 and 20 per serving. Moderately high in sodium at between 12 - 19 percent of the daily allowance.Shelf stable and no refrigeration required.Convenience, but reasonably, priced at about $18 at the time of our review for the three-sauce sampler or about $6 per flavor blend. The time savings in not having to acquire, toast, roast, blend, and prepare a sauce is worth the price.
