A suitable challenge for a newbie
I'm pretty new at assembling wood models. This pagoda was challenging but still completely enjoyable and the finished product looks great. I broke a few pieces but it was nothing that a little glue couldn't fix. I didn't track how long it took in total, I worked on it over the course of several days. For my skill level it was more than I could do in one sitting. Overall, very enjoyable.

Simple build, beautiful result
I enjoyed putting this together, adding the awnings is a little tedious, and I ended up having to glue several pieces because they kept coming "unclipped" as I was adding other pieces. But I love these puzzles and it's something I find I have to do often. Good quality, good results

Harder than it looks
This model is rated for 8 and above. After putting it together. I feel an 8-12 years old would have issues putting it together. Other than that observation the modle it great. I like the detail of it.

Very fun but hard
Would not recommend if you have big fingers. They will hurt if you do it all in one sitting, mine took me about 3 hours. Be very careful with the parts as they will snap if you aren’t. Overall pretty fun but don’t get this as your first kit.

Creative
Loved. Be careful building. The wood can break easily. Comes with some small spare parts. And double check the instructions!! Some are not there you have to think it through. The last roof pay attention.

!!! NOT FOR THE NOVICE !!!
Very complex build! Not for the faint of heart! I decided to paint my pieces with metallics as I went along. Turned out very nice. Some male parts really need convincing to get into their female parts. Some broke and I had to use glue. Really pay attention to the "Do not break the part!" warnings and watch where you put pressure on these parts in order to place the male parts into the female parts. TIP: use mini wood working tools and modelling tweezers to sand, buff and to hold pieces while inserting them. It also helps to wiggle them in slowly too I found. I had to route out a lot of the female holes just to get the male parts in. The amount of force needed to push them in was too great and I ended up busting a few pieces. Make it easy on yourself by routing out the holes and you will be glad you did! This was *really* not meant for kids, but maybe I'm an old futty-dutty!

So much fun and so rewarding once done!
The Pagoda turned out great. I decided to paint mine as I was building it. It's intricate and delicate, yet sturdy enough to be handled. It is a great addition to my collection.
