The tiny box is 3" x 3.5" x 1.75" and the robot is a near net fit inside. Hello Kimberly, Edison is a versatile little robot. I understand that a icon based programing language is being developed for primary school. The current language is best for 7 up. And older kids can use the Python language which is also for Edison. Hope that helps.

Yes, it is the newest release. Any future firmware updates are available to download for free online.
