Will Meguiar's 8-Inch Foam Pads fit generic 7" hook & loop backing pad?

Yes. The outside on the front is 8" but the inside with hook and loop fits well for a 7" pad and the hook and loop is well made plastiic, but can be bent to fit if necessary
