These are not your average black pens. Whether you're buying these for general use or for adding to your artwork (in this household we're using them for both), they are fantastic! These smooth gel pens have the artistic, versatile tip of an art/outline pen....but are retractable and functional for writing and business, as well. The tip allows you a very fast writing flow with no skips or blobs. The black pigment is very rich and even and quickly becomes a great Calligraphy or Artistic pen merely by changing how you use it. Outlining pens are expensive for drawing and watercolor work. These easily replace that type of pen and make your daily "business" of writing, signing things, doing lists, or writing greeting cards and "thank yous" artistic.The photos show the versatility of these much better than my words because you can see how easily you can change to a thick script, print, sketch, outine, and fill color with just one pen. We wrote/drew that page in just a few minutes and were impressed that these pens performed on paper meant for watercolors/paints! A standard pen or gel pen from big box stores wouldn't work and/or would look awful on the textured surface of this type of heavy paper used in the photos.The pen itself is very functional. No leaks, sleek outer shell, standard clip, and a retractable "click". We kept most of these at home and my significant other took the rest into his Marketing Firm and the response was very positive. Business people loved the flow, look, and versatility of these pens as much as we do! Excellent quality, attractive design, and high performance that rivals refillable/expensive pens that cost a lot and often don't hold up to even basic writing. I'll be getting these instead from now on! Awesome quality and amazing price! Absolutely recommend.

I am a pen lover and have a lot of them to do both casual writing and hand lettering. I debated for a few weeks before taking a chance on these based on reviews and price. I often times hold my pens more straight up and down, rather than laying them in the web of my thumb, and gel pens are sometimes not compatible with that style of pen grip. However, I've had these pens for about 2 weeks and I've used one daily since and have not experience any skipping or bleed through at all. The ink flow is very smooth and consistent on varying types and thickness of paper. The barrel is wide, but not heavy and though the clip doesn't have much flex to it, it feels substantial enough I don't think it would break off easily. I do have some concerns about their durability - this morning I bumped a pen off my desk and onto a hardwood floor (standard drop of about 2 feet) and the little ball in the tip came out, bleeding ink everywhere. I would dare say that's par for the course in the life of a pen, and I would prefer it if a little fall didn't incapacitate it. For the amazing price and the quantity you get in the box, I can't really complain, though I'm super bummed as it had 90% of the ink left in that pen and it nearly killed me to throw it away - arg! The pens did arrive quickly, well packaged and without any leaks or visible damage to any of the pens. Overall, I would absolutely recommend but I will update my review if I have any more quality issues.

They write with sharp attractive lines, they don’t smudge as much as other gel pens, but they do occasionally stall and need to be restarted. When I say they stall I mean you are in the middle of a word and the ink just stops flowing. You lift the pen, scribble in the margin until the ink flows again, and get back to work. They are comfortable in big hands, clan, clear, and sharp. They do run out quickly, but I’m not sure if that is just the type of ink or these pens in general.

Ever since I started working, I always wanted my own desk of which I can personalize and make my own and be able to sit at and do work and write and all that fun stuff...cut to now. I have my desk with my pen organizer and my kitty post it note holder and my stapler...and I have been at this job for about a year now. Now if there is one thing I have learned about having a job that give you a desk so you can write and do all the things...there are a few things that you realize become very important rules...1) One can never have enough post it notesand2) You must always have that one penNot just any pen. But the pen that makes life easier for you. The pen that makes your not-so-desired handwriting look amazing...well If this sounds like you then you are obviously looking for this pen...These pens have been pretty amazing so far. They have a .50 mm tip which I must have with my pens as my hands are small and my handwriting is even smaller. These pens glide across the paper too. No skipping or shorting out. Just simple writing. They are comfortable to hold on to and fit nicely in your hand. The clicking part works like a charm with no sticking or missing. And lastly, the pens just look nice..lolAnd I know some of the things I review are slightly on the more expensive side of things and that tends to be where I down their grade a little BUT these pens are simply amazing price wise too!! $7.99 for a pack of 18?? And they are full of ink unlike some of the other pens out there where, sure you can buy a pack of 12 but it has about a paragraphs worth of ink in them. No thanks. I'll stick with my new favorite :)My final say?Well it might be slightly obvious at this point....but BUY!!!!!Its well worth the money to have a great pen and with this you get a whole frickin box! And normally I head of the side of caution with prices of some of the items I review but this really is a price that can't be beat. I used to buy a specific, big name brand pack of pens and I only got 4 and they were more expensive than these!!

These pen write so smooth. Excellent for note taking and they don't smudge easy too. Definitely recommend and buying again! Also comes with 18 pens! Excellent value for the price!

The pens it self is made of plastic, it feels cheap. But the quality of point is very good, very smooth, comfortable.I gave 5 stars because I would not expect a higher quality from 18 pens for 13$ from unknow name brand. For smoothness, it is comparable to G2 pilot. very highly recommend.after couple weeks using, still very good, but run out of ink very quickly.

They write beautifully when you can write with them. I've had seven pens from this pack explode. They do not explode the way one expects. They backfill into the clicker and it sits there waiting until you're not paying attention and click it at just the wrong angle and then you end up with a hand full of black ink.

So exciting!This is my first time to shop in Amazon. I’m fall in love these pens! I tend to find a lot of pens on the ground, but this one takes the cake! They are so smooth and writes longer,also they have the rubber grip. They are the best for the price.

the clip is easy to break that makes it so cheap but i like the fine clean ink.
