Predrilled holes for the same price would be nice.
This is a fiberglass product which means it does not function for more than a few years. The plates I received did not have a 90 degree end cut which means the ends needed to be sanded down to install correctly.

Heavy duty Spring
I replaced the springs in a swivel outdoor chair and it was very easy, it took about 20 minutes. The chair was leaning back to far you felt like you were going to fall over. It works like new now.

Spring plates
We're very unhappy with the spring plates. When we sit down normally the chair will lean backwards without any pressure.

Did the job -- prolonged the life of our patio chairs.
So far, so good. They were easy to drill to fit and install. Chairs that were junk without them are now functioning like new. So, very happy with the purchase and product. Thank you.

Great replacement
An excellent option to replace the broken spring supports on your outdoor furniture.Easy to modify - you have to use the old spring supports as a template - easy to drill and install.Highly recommended

Just what chair needed!
***Updated 4/14/2023***What a dismal failure. Didn’t last a week before they were a bigger failure than the ones they replaced! Avoid at all costs!OK. I replaced half the parts under my swivel patio chair trying to stabilize the seat and stop the squeaking. It just felt squirrelly when you sat in it. I never really thought about the springs because the original ones “looked” fine and didn’t appear damaged. I had replaced the spool piece a couple of times but that had not helped. So, I decided to try replacing these springs. Easy to remove old ones and I just clamped the old springs to the new ones and drilled through the holes as a template. Easy Peasy! Reassembled ……and like new!!! Made all the difference in the world. Here’s the takeaway! Even if your existing springs appear OK, if the chair is just not acting right, change these springs out! Cheap and easy!

Perfect replacement
I had to drill holes in order to re-use. Save your old ones if you need a pattern to drill the fastener holes for a perfect match. They are fiberglass so drilling was very easy.

So far, so good - longevity and durability remain to be seen-some handyman skills and tools required
Firstly, these are the correct replacement spring plates identical in all dimensions but requiring holes to be bored. Some tools and skills are required. I used WD40, a socket set or impact drill, power drill with correct bit. I recommend taking a pic of the base before removing bolts. On our set, each chair has 8 bolts to remove (4 directly into threaded base and 4 bolts with washers and nuts) and 8 holes to drill. Some of the bolts were stubborn and difficult to remove with the socket wrench even after lubrication. This is where the impact drill set on reverse with proper socket was useful. I cleaned and lubricated the hardware and used the old spring plate as a template to bore the holes into the new spring plate. I simply overlaid the old onto the new and held it firmly in place in a vise and drilled horizontally. Anyone with a drill press would find it even easier. In total 32 holes for the four chairs. Gloves are recommended as the material removed while drilling itches. Once the holes were completed, I reassembled the chairs being careful to not over-tighten thus risking the bolt snapping. Again, the impact drill made this task easier. Approximately 10-15 minutes per chair and all completed in about an hour. At present the chairs are vastly improved and the new spring plates properly remedied the tension on the chairs and we are no longer slipping forward. Hopefully this fix will last a couple of years at least. At a cost of about $20 a chair and 1 hour of work it is a reasonable solution to the problem especially since new chairs are hundred of dollars each. If these spring plates prove durable, we plan to clean and repaint the chairs to give them a fresher look.
