Would be nice to have a table of contents for the recipes
My husband brought a newspaper home with a pork chop recipe in it that he wanted me to make for him. I decided to just order the cookbook instead and tossed the newspaper into the recycle bin. When I went to make the pork chops, I could not find the recipe in the book. There was no table of contents for the recipes. I'd have to look through the entire book to find it. I'm not even sure if it's in there. I made the pork chops according to my memory of the recipe. Don't know how close I was since I couldn't find the recipe. I thought it was great, my husband complained. I'm not really a fan of people in country music so half of the book was wasted on me. I do like good food however. Since most country music folks come from the south, and I know that southern cooking is fabulous, I figured it was worth buying but I wouldn't recommend it unless you like to read about the "stars". I don't have time to do that kind of reading. I read for education, not entertainment.

Yummy! And the Amazon price beats others!
This is all about "comfort food" and does it well. Sometimes when I read cookbooks, I don't make the recipes - not so with this book!I have tried about 10 so far, with perfect results. The stories and pictures are terrific, and I admit to being a CMT fan, so that makes the book all the more special. The Amazon price was BETTER than a well known Television Shopping Network, and I was happy to get the book on the day of publication, with Amazon Prime.Southern Living tends to have the best cookbooks ( in my opinion ) and this one is a great addition to an already diverse library.Nothing here is "hard" to make, but it is all GOOD.Well worth consideration as a gift for those "hard to buy for". They will love it, and you will too!

Something I want to eat on every page
As a librarian, I've scanned so many cookbooks and this is the only one I went to the internet to purchase. It just has great looking food all over it. It leans towards southern cooking, but has optimal versions of all of it, playing with spices and putting forward those "we found a great way of doing this" recipes.

Another cookbook.
It's ok. I wonder how well a cookbook I wrote would sell if I gave it a fancy name--that is if I ever felt like writing one. :) Nothing new in this other than county, music and Southern Living on the cover. Oh well. I fell for it. Not worth returning.

Nice for recipes!! And especially for those of us that collect cookbooks!
Nice recipes and stories sharing the history of the artists and their preferred dishes!! Haven't cooked from it yet, but I have read quite a few of the stories!! Recipes seem easy enough and have accompanying pictures!

Enjoyed reading this book
I enjoy this book. I enjoy the recipes also. Since I was born and raised in the country I already knew how to make most of them, but some were improved. Thank you for this book.

Loving Country Eats Cookbook
This cookbook isn't just a great recipe book. It's a great book to read about some of Country Music's stars.I did try the Berry Cobbler and it was delicious. I am going to try it with other fruits as well. I know I'll enjoy this book for a long time. Great work on presentation and recipes.
