Walker Edison 4 Person Outdoor Wood Chevron Patio Furniture Dining Set Table Chairs All Weather Backyard Conversation Garden Poolside Balcony, 5 Piece, Brown

I purchased a patio set on 8/4/20 through Vir Ventures. Besides my chairs taking over a month for me to receive them, one of the 4 boxes was damaged in route which also damaged the chairs inside the box. I had telephone, email & texting communications with Vir ventures giving them photos & explanations. They gave me the runaround for weeks informing me they were awaiting word from their manufacturer, Walker Edison. On four occasions Vir Ventures informed me my replacement chairs were on their way even giving me dates of the end of the week and they would follow up with me. Since they never followed up, I was forced to consistently following up on my own. Vir Ventures permanently blocked my cell phone number and the only way I was able to reach them was through a friend’s cell.I was able to get a hold of Walker Edison’s contact number and was informed that there was no order for me in their system. After much research on my and Walker Edison we discovered that for 3 weeks WE was awaiting information from Vir Ventures and the ball was in their court and they had no return communication with them for 3 weeks.Walker Edison apologized and offered to send me replacements for the two chairs at their cost bypassing Vir Ventures. Since I also had minor issues with the table I purchased through Amazon via Vir Ventures, Walker Edison offered to send me the replacement parts vs working with Vir Ventures and having to take the table apart and returning it. After a couple of days WE contacted me that they were willing to send me a total replacement of the table at no cost to me and to keep the original table. As of 10/18 I received a new table and I am very pleased with the final outcome thanks to Walker Edison and their team.FYI I did contact Amazon, and they informed me if I did not hear back from Vir Ventures to disassemble 4 chairs and a table and ship it back to Amazon and Amazon would credit my account. After spending a LOT of time and frustration putting the set together, we did not want to go this route.My recommendation is Amazon discontinue doing any sort of business with Vir Ventures as a vendor. They are totally unprofessional with their customers by not returning calls, not telling the truth, not following through and blocking their customer’s calls.I would also recommend that Walker Edison also not do business with Vir Ventures.Thank you so much Walker Edison and their team for their support & generosity.I am happy with my chairs and table.

This set is nicely designed, and the materials are higher quality than I expected. For example, the seats bottoms and seat backs are slightly curved, making it more comfortable to sit on if you prefer to not have cushions. It is not trivial to create this curve in manufacturing, but the subtle details in craftsmanship is what makes this set stand apart. There were a few chairs where a finishing nail or two missed the slats, but it was not critical for longevity or strength- so I just clipped the exposed nails off and you cant see them now.ASSEMBLY-I read lots of reviews where other reviewers had issues with getting the bolts all the way in. I could see that being an issue IF you ONLY use the included allen wrench. You ABSOLUTELY need to use an impact driver with a tight fitting allen bit to assemble this set properly, and it will make it much easier and quick overall. DO NOT even attempt to assemble without the impact driver- bolts will for sure be very difficult to drive in all the way without it. Just use caution not to over tighten the bolts with the impact driver or you WILL split the wood, this is a hardwood afterall. Follow the instructions carefully and use the correct bolts in the correct spots and all will go well. I had a few bolts from the chair side to the chair bottom/seat that needed a clamp to pull the curved wood down and forward a bit to more easily align the bolt hole- without clamping those times, the bolt most likely would have stripped the threads and would have been stuck. Use common sense and realize that this is wood, it is prone to moving and flexing a bit in different temperatures and humidity. You should be a somewhat crafty/mechanically inclined person to put this together properly.For the table, I recommend also using a wood glue on ALL of the leg joint areas- will add significant strength and longevity to the table.My son and I assembled the chairs first, then the table. It took us about 2 hours to do the chairs, another 2 hours or so to do the table, TAKING our time to assemble properly. The last step- installing the clasps that hold the table leafs together, I was not looking forward to as these can be tricky to align and compensate for the clasp flex, etc. However, to my delight, I found the screw holes for the clasp hardware was pre-drilled, and was absolutely spot on. Well done.If you have a little patience and some mechanical aptitude and the right tools- this goes together great. The end result is stunning for the price. Many of our neighbors and friends were shocked this was such a value priced set. I have seen (already assembled) sets at retail for 2x the price- MINIMUM.One more thing, do some research on protecting semi-exotic hardwoods like this (ACACIA) and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS on whatever product you choose to use. This is wood- it REQUIRES some work to keep it looking nice and prevent it from drying out and splitting up. DO NOT even consider buying sets like this unless you absolutely plan on applying a protectant of some kind at least 3-4 times a year, maybe more in full sun areas like Florida. We also plan on purchasing a cover that can cover the table and all of the chairs, this will add to its longevity and keep it looking nice.

We bought this with some hesitation during the furniture shortage in spring of 2021. It is definitely our biggest online shopping regret ever.The table legs are not the same length, resulting in a table that rocks back and forth.The manufacturing is shoddy. In the attached pictures, you'll see cracked wood and nails that don't connect anything because someone or something in the factory missed the mark. There is also a dark streak where it looks like they spilled the stain.Strangest and most disgusting of all, you'll see that one of the pictures includes some sort of gob of adhesive that was full of human hair.We should have been more careful. We got the pieces out one at a time. The first chair was fine and we assembled it. The second chair was nasty, but worked well enough. The table is truly awful. We have no way to return this since we can't even disassemble it given the stripped screws others have mentioned in their reviews.There's another review where someone's father-in-law gives exhaustive instructions for turning this into a multiple hours wood working project. Yeah, that's ridiculous. This stuff is garbage, no matter how many power tools you throw at it. Stay far away from this furniture.

Would have been a wonderful purchase IF ANY OF THE CHAIRS HAD ARRIVED. this order has been a weeks long nightmare mishandled by Amazon, the furniture manufacturer and the courier company. Table arrived but no chairs. We assembled the table, discarded packaging and edited for the chairs to arrive. And waited. And waited. And emailed Amazon who didn’t even respond until I escalated it further. No one was willing to try to find the missing items for me. No effort. Just a refund return label emailed to me. I tried getting in touch with Walker Edison but to date no response to my emails or phone messages. The courier company Landmark Global has no way to contact them and subbed it out to another company Canpar who never responded either. I wasted over six hours just trying to get someone to help me. So I spent an hour disassembling the table, taped everything together, taped the label to the pieces and dropped it off at the UPS location. Not sure how they expected me to return an already assembled table but hey, if they’re not willing to put any effort into helping me then it truly is no longer my problem. I wouldn’t buy anything ever again from Walker Edison after this. Ever. And I only gave it 1 star because 0 stars is not an option. I’m so disappointed and frustrated with this whole issue. Buyer beware. What a waste of my valuable free time.

Really pleased with the chairs, they only took a short while to put together and they look great. Perfect for what we wanted and good value.
