I specifically purchased this top coat expressly with the hope of doing my own Chrome style nails at home. I was nervous to try this technique out as a DIY because it only looks good if it’s damn near flawless.I started with Orly Rubberized Bonder (I have bad luck with good gel adhesion without this extra step, my personal ph is really acidic. I also work with my hands so I need every last ounce or durability I can manage.) Then I used Venalisa Base Coat and White Gel Color to finish prepping for the Chrome application.Now’s when this fabulous Modelones Topcoat comes into play: I painted, cured, dusted each nail individually (as opposed to painting this top coat on the entire hand and then curing all at once). Some Vloggers suggested that doing it one nail at a time would give a better chance of getting the tacky layer to really grab hold of the chrome powder, so that’s what I did. The powder clung really well, this topcoat made it so easy! The color and shine I was able to acheive was better than I was expecting as a first timer.(I used Saviland Chrome powder in ‘Teal’ over the white base color. Then I used a GAOY Brand cordless mini UV-lamp to cure the Modelones Topcoat for a full 60 seconds before rubbing the powder in. Once the whole hand was ‘chromed’, I cured the whole hand one more time to make sure it was fully 💯 cured to an avoid a chemical irritation (again, I’m personally sensitive, other people might not need to do this extra step for themselves) before moving on to the final top coat.I can’t speak to the durability of this product yet for a couple of reasons. 1- I only applied this two days ago. 2- I layered Venalisa Brand Tempered Top Coat over the finished nail instead of just using this same Modelones product as the last topcoat. The Venalisa brand has proven to be super strong in past and I didn’t want to risk it but maybe next time I will try sticking with this brand.Either way I’m so glad I purchased this particular product for the Chrome technique. I really think it made a huge difference in how easily I was able to get such an amazing result on the very first try!

I’ve tried a few gel top coats over the years, but the Modelones Gel Top Coat is by far one of the best. It goes on super smooth, levels itself out beautifully, and leaves a high-gloss finish that truly lasts. After curing under my LED lamp, the shine is glassy and hard — just like a salon manicure.What I love most is the durability. I wash dishes, type all day, and do a lot of hands-on tasks, and this top coat keeps my polish looking fresh and chip-free for up to 2 weeks. It also doesn’t yellow or peel like some cheaper brands I’ve tried.There’s no strong odor, and it doesn’t feel too thick or sticky when applying. Just make sure to cap the free edge and cure properly, and you’ll get amazing results.Highly recommend if you do your own nails at home and want that professional finish without the salon price!

This is my go-to for no-wipe gel top coat! I have used others, but I usually come back to this one. It goes on smoothly, covers well, settles nicely (as long as the coat you're applying isn't too heavy), and the shine is unbeatable. It wears long (the longest for me is about 4 weeks) and I have never observed any chipping or cracking, and I am rough on nails. In fact, my nails generally look as good when I remove them as the day I put them on. It seals in your colors and/or nail art designs very nicely and generally cures completely in 30-60 seconds.Removal is about the same as any other gel - you soak it off, file it off, or use peelable base gel. I've used this over acrylic, nail tips, natural nails, and even used it to seal regular nail polish, and the results have been excellent every time. I've even used this to fix jewelry and in some other non-nail applications. It's good stuff. I would highly recommend!

Realmente me fascinan los productos modelones que he probado y el top coat es sin duda uno de mis favoritos. Deja un brillo hermoso, acabado perfecto para mi gusto y que dura semanas sin opacarse ni rayarse. No soy profesional, me hago mis uñas en casa y se maneja con mucha facilidad. Sella y resalta muy bien el color y ayuda a que el esmalte dure mucho más tiempo sin levantarse. Tiene buena consistencia y el pincel ayuda a distribuirlo uniformemente por toda la uña. Definitivamente seguiré comprándolo. Excelente calidad-precio

Cures solid, incredibly soft matte feeling, lasts for WEEKS, but... It yellows... And if you ever have to redo a nail, you'll see it. So you'll have to buff the old stuff off and redo the others. Outside of that, I say it's a dang good matte top coat, the best I've used honestly.

I love this brand. Quality product for the price. Easy to remove if I want to change my nails. Long lasting and stays clear with no discoloration.

Excellent top coat once I used thin layers and cured 3x longer than I normally do. Glossy and hard.P.s. if your one of the reviewers who said it was still wet after hours, you either didn't cure it long enough, or use a UV lamp at all lol

I tried another matte polish which didn’t work at all so I ordered this one and it works very well! It’s a very nice, even matte top coat.
