Loving it!
I had this on my list for a while, due to the high price and the negative reviews re: inconsistent quality...but when I saw that the price had dropped to US$80 w/ Amazon Prime (love the notifications I get when prices fluctuate, just keep the item in your 'save for later' in shopping cart), I grabbed one in a hurry. I've had it for 3 weeks now, and honestly love it. There WAS a bit of a learning curve, as the lighting is slightly blue - had a few minor snafus in the beginning with color/intensity control of makeup, and of lighting (i.e. should dim light a bit to see how makeup looks for nighttime or low light situations). After that learning curve, I can tell I am seeing things truer, because there is much less discrepancy in how I look between dressing table vs. car mirror (a.k.a. The Mirror of Truth). All points (bolts/screws/bending parts) seem solid, I have not had to tighten or loosen things at all - hoping light bulb lasts a long time. Highly recommend, especially if pricing goes down.Pros:Nice and tall (no squishing down with shoulders to see whole face), with infinitely adjustable angling (I even angle it way down for nail art detailing or the occasional kid splinter emergency)Magnification is great for grooming or super detailed makeupInfinitely adjustable lightingHeavy, sturdy, solid feel (no falling over), high quality mirror on both sidesBrushed chrome is easier to keep looking clean, no fingerprintsCons:Light is pretty blue; I was hoping to minimize my area with this mirror, but I ended up keeping my previous mirror, which has warmer LED lighting; I go back and forth to see gauge color and intensityCord is super thick and bulky; nice that it's durable, but I tend to tuck the mirror out of the way when not in use, and it's a bit awkward...of course cordless would be fabulous***Update October 2016***So I've had this for 6 months...still loving this mirror, light is going strong, no complaints. Don't know how I did my face before this mirror!***Update Dec 2017***Still working perfectly, using daily! Decided to update review while Xmas shopping ;)

very disappointed
I bought this mirror about a month ago and fell in love with the quality the first time i tried it, then.... the light never turned on again. I'm a VERY busy person and I never got the chance to send it back and I was trying to exchange it today but you only get 1 month to exchange or return which i find ridiculous because not everyone has that time seriously. most of my time lies either at night or on the weekends (mainly sundays) so I never really have the time. but besides the fact that it stopped worked after one time of me using it. it's a great light, mine might have been already messed up but i just can never be sure since i'm unable to exchange. which takes me to the price. if I was able to exchange it the price would be great but besides that. it's dumb. the mirror is nothing without it's light.

Excellent Make-up Mirror but . . .
I purchased this Zadro SLV410 make-up mirror in April 2008. A few weeks ago the bulb burned out. I think I transferred some static electricity to the mirror that caused the bulb to burn out (dry winter weather). I purchased two replacement bulbs from LK Technology but neither of them work. I have now ordered a replacement bulb directly from Zadro to see if the two new bulbs I received from LK were defective (the bulbs were well packaged but may have froze on the delivery truck). If the Zadro replacement bulb does not work, I will have to see how much it will cost for Zadro to repair this mirror. Since I paid $138 with shipping, it is too expensive to just throw out. I recommend getting an extended warranty if you can on this unit. The mirror's magnification, quality of the mirror and lighting are excellent. I love the surround light. Other than the bulb problem this mirror has been a tremendous help for my poor eyesight, especially when it comes to tweezing the eyebrow area.If you purchase this, be careful of static electricity discharge and/or get an extended warranty if possible.

Vanity Mirror - This is THE ONE
Wife has tried several other vanity mirrors with mixed results. Some were either too dim, too hot or were awkward to use because the mirror didn't swivel easily or bend back far enough. After reading the many positive reviews, I decided to buy this mirror for her as a Valentine's gift. She loves it ! Finally, this is THE ONE.This mirror has all the desirable features. Really bright, Cool, Easily rotates, Tips backwards and forwards, Accessory socket, Dimmer, High quality glass mirrors, Available replacement parts, Customer support if needed, Generous size.Because some reviewers reported problems with the dimmer switch due to frequent use, I took the advice of reviewer “Texellence” and also bought a small switch for the wall socket which allows you to turn the mirror light on and off without using the switch on the mirror itself. Of course you can still set the dimming level as needed. I purchased the QVS PA-1P Single-Port Power Adapter with On/Off Switch on Amazon for $5.98. Confirmed that this is a good work-around when my daughter’s mirror ( same one) also developed a glitch in the mirror light switch. Bought her the Power Adapter mentioned above and now all is well. It’s better to start using the Power Adapter at the beginning rather than waiting for the small lamp dimmer switch to start acting up. Other than the well known switch issue this vanity light is still THE ONE.UPDATE: November 2016 - Still working great. It's a shame people are still complaining about the dimmer switch failure. ARE THEY NOT READING THE REVIEWS? You need to use a separate switch as mentioned above BEFORE the dimmer switch gets worn out. No more problems. If the above switch presents problems with access behind a piece of furniture.....buy yourself a remote controlled switch. But do something or else risk a dimmer switch failure down the road.
