Rabbits Love This Alfalfa! The quality is impressive!
My two 3-month old Lionhead rabbits DEVOUR this alfalfa. It is SO green compared to the compressed bale alfalfa I was feeding them from the local farm supply store. Yes, it's more expensive, but aren't they worth it? Good nutrition is important for our pets, especially growing rabbits who haven't reached adulthood yet. Alfalfa is such an important part and large percentage of a young rabbit's diet, it's good to know I'm feeding them fresh, green, quality alfalfa vs. cheap, dried, brown, stale alfalfa. Shout out to Tyler at Small Pet Select who, according to the note written and placed on top of the alfalfa, "packed it with extra love"!

Sun's Up! Bunz's up!
I have a very picky rabbit who, in his own way, makes it clear as to the hay he LOVES or hates. Through trial and error (3 years and a LOT of expense) I finally found his FAVORITE!!Small Pet Select's Orchard Hay and Alfalfa Hay are always fresh, lush, fragrant, green, and obviously delicious. They always send boxes filled to capacity (my most recent Orchard Hay box was actually bulging!) and I see little to no dust. As I fill his feeding areas, my rabbit begins snacking on it straight from the box and binkies with excitement. Nothing but praise for Small Pet Select.Bunz thanks S.P.S. too! 🐰Seriously - Bunz makes it very clear that this brand is the ONLY brand he'll eat. He's extremely particular and picky about his hays and food.

Inconsistent Quality
I have bought 4 boxes of alfalfa hay from Small Pet Select. The first box was fantastic and fresh. Second box was brown and dried out -- but the seller provided a quick, easy refund. The third box was fine. And the fourth box delivered today was literally cut in half -- half the box was empty. My bunnies really like alfalfa hay, but I might have to find another vendor with the inconsistency in product. And for some reason they are not taking a refund on this last "half-box." The timothy and orchard hay from small pet select has been good. But it is hit or miss with the alfalfa hay.

Baby bunnies love this hay !
Our boujie baby bunnies have been picky since the start about what brand hay they liked. We tried various ones including oxbow, dunmor, etc. This by far is their favorite! Very little is left when they eat, it is always fresh and great nutrition for them. Highly recommended !

A little smelly but a lot of hay
The media could not be loaded. They could have shaked out the hay before packaging, quite a bit of dirt. I ordered bc it was a good price I assumed it would be small but it’s a big box .

Fresh but expensive
This is the freshest hay I’ve ever bought. I bought it when my guinea pig had three babies and I wanted them to have good quality Alfalfa hay. It appeared to have been harvested very recently. I’ve never seen hay this fresh. The box was blocked full. But it is expensive in my opinion. I cannot afford to spend this much on hay regularly.

Good Quality, little dust
I bought this because my baby buns needed more, and the last brand had a lot of dust and not enough stalk/stem. I'm very pleased with this, it's still pretty green, and a nice amount of green to stalk ratio. My rabbits seem happy with it as well. Will purchase again because the price per pound is better than most around and the quality is pretty decent. Would buy again.

Usually reliable, but not via Amazon
I had purchased Oxbow alfalfa hay and they turned their picky noses up at it...how was I supposed to know? That alfalfa hay (legume actually) looks the same. But since they're still young and need it, I purchased the SPS version again and they went right back to happily eating that one. They have 5-6 months to enjoy it because "hay times are going to be a'changing!"First order via Amazon was fine, second order? This batch, yellow and dry (photo looks better than it really is). How long did Amazon have this in storage?! Like another poster advised, buying directly from SPS may be more reliable. That's what I had been doing, until I just needed a small box now that my girls are 1 years old, to use as a mixer to encourage them to eat Timothy hay.

The very best alfalfa hay
This alfalfa hay is in a class of it's own. My bunnies absolutely love it! It's so fresh, fragrant and it's the first hay they eat from their selection every morning. It arrives really quickly and I love the cute smiley faces they put on the boxes - very highly recommended!

Great quality, and easy to access!
My rabbit absolutely loves eating this hay! It definitely comes much more fresh than any of the past places I've bought hay from, so I can vouch for the quality here. He chooses it over any other hay that I feed him

Brilliant For Helping My Grieving Elderly Rabbit's Appetite
My elderly rabbit, Jackson, was grieving the loss of his companion, and my vet suggested I try adding a little Alfalfa to his regular Timothy hay to boost his appetite, so I ordered this 0.91kg box of Alfalfa Hay from Small Pet Select for him to try. It arrived the next day, it looks just like the photo and I got a lot more than I was expecting which was great. Jackson ate it immediately and within a week was back to eating his normal amount of Timothy hay. I highly recommend it.
