Stainless Steel Cable Railing Hardware Kit, for 1/8" Cable Railing System, for Metal & Wood Post Cable Railing, Invisible Turnbuckle Kit 20 Pcs

We were looking for a system that was neat and didn't show the tensioning and we found it. It looks absolutely perfect and we couldn't be happier. We chose to add a slightly thicker top and bottom rail and used only 7 wires, not the 10 usually shown. Building code is space between has to be less than 4" and it complies. Be aware that in addition to the kit you have to buy the wire (we chose to buy more than we needed as we plan to extend the deck later), metal inserts that protect the wood, a tool to drill the holes straight, and a hydraulic crimper ($50). Nevertheless, we replaced 20' of rail for around $250 and have enough materials left to extend the deck later this year for free. Absolute bargain!

It takes about 3 or 4 cable runs to really figure out all the little nuances necessary to install this system properly. I REALLY wish they would shorten the inner stem by about a half inch so that one could easily insert a hole cover baffle into the corner post of the deck where the adjustment nut sits. It's just too long. I had to cut all mine off with a grinder.

Make sure you understand that you need a crimper. I found these unusable but due to their limited return time frame I’m stuck with them.
