I am DELIGHTED with this notebook. It uses handmade-style paper, which has been stained and dyed to look older, and the edges are soft and uneven. It is bound in sections and sewn into the cover, like an old-fashioned book. The leather is very nice (and clearly real, not pleather!), and the wrap-and-key closure works great. The color (I got the green one) is slightly more olive than the photo seemed to show, but it doesn't really matter. It's such a beautiful thing! Will definitely be buying more once I've filled this one up....

Sh Shifaa Handicraft leather journal did not disappoint! It's gorgeous 😍. The picture does not show the detail of this journal. It's a buttery soft leather. The pages are handmade with very soft paper. Would work well with drawing pencil or pen. The pages are deckle edge. Which gives it a aged look. The price is perfect. It's really worth alot more than what I paid. The journal is 10x7 inches. Has a wrap key open. The key looks like a actual skeleton key. I just can't say enough good thing about this journal. It has that new book smell. I absolutely love this journal.

Gave this as a Christmas gift to our daughter. She loves these vintage look and feel of the pages.

This is so beautifullt made with the embossed cover, dyed sheets and textured edges! This fulfills many wishes that I have for a journal and the sheets are thick enough to hold a marker and lighter.

I absolutely love this little book. There's so much detail in the outer cover that I love. I was going for an ancient look with this book and it definitely is perfect. The pages look old and mismatched, as if it was a book from the 1700s. However, the only issue I have with this book is that the pages have this strong, musty smell. It smells like old newspapers. I left it open to air out but it didn't really do much.

My daughter in law loves the hobbit. I bought this not sure if she would like it but not only did she love it but my sister and son want one too. The paper is old looking and feeling. The leather is soft and beautiful color. Definitely ordering others.

Was given as a gift for one that loves to write. The feel of the pages and the leather gave her to impression that it was from a fantasy realm, inspiring romantic poems and stories. The quality is excellent and ease of closure is fluid. Perfect for anyone who loves books and binding in the old ways.

I've been wanting one of these leather journals with deckle-edged pages for a couple months now, but had a hard time choosing between journals on Amazon. Finally this one caught my eye with its embossed pattern and I took the plunge. Some of the green dye did seep through the leather, creating blotches on the other side, which doesn't look great, but I'm not sure what the manufacturer can do to prevent it. The pages are thick and very textured. I recall the book smelling quite a bit at first, but after leaving it out, the smell dissipated and now it's more of a pleasant leather aroma. The green color looks a lot nicer in the sunlight.
