Great system - with a few tips for other buyers!
So this is a really nice cable rail system, and the installed product it looks great! Thought I would share a few tips to help other consumers with install process.First off, having the right tools makes the install much easier. I highly recommend you invest in a good Hydraulic Hand Crimper Tool - preferably with a spring return. I purchased the Mazuta crimper they recommend (not knowing any better) and it does NOT have a spring return, so more awkward to operate. There are many other (cheaper) options here on Amazon with spring returns. A good cable cutter is also a must. I was using bolt cutters to cut the cable, which worked most of the time. But if you do not get a clean cut, inserting the cable into the brackets is challenging. So spend the $13 on good cable cutters. I also invested in a drill press attachment for my drill for drilling through the posts, as it is important that your pass through holes are level. We almost hired someone to install a railing system, but decided I would try myself. I do not regret it, and I feel the savings from hiring someone justified the $110 I paid for the tools. While install is not overly complicated, there is a bit of a learning curve. Having never used a Hydraulic Hand Crimper Tool, my first few attempts to crimp the cable were not successful and the cable pulled out of the tube. So my multiple attempts to crimp mangled the bracket a little. Barely noticeable with finished product. I will also reiterate my comment above about buying a crimping tool with a SPRING RETURN! I so wish I had done this, but didn't know that was an option! Also important to note that once you crimp the cable into a bracket, there is no turning back. If you mess up the cut on the other end of the cable, you cannot remove the cable from the first bracket, rendering the bracket useless. Each kit comes with 10 brackets - just enough to do a section of railing. So if you damage any brackets during install, you have to buy another full set of 10. I took off a star because I feel like they should give you at least one extra set of brackets, or allow you to buy individually instead of forcing you to buy another full set. I messed up a couple and had to buy another set of 10, leaving me with extras I do not need. You might consider ordering an extra set just in case you run into this same issue. You can always return if you don't need them.Another reason I took off a star is the instructions are not great. Other reviewers have complained about this. The instructions include pictures with basic text explanations, but they are not really specific enough. Here are a few additional tips for install:- The brackets have tubes that you feed the cable into and then crimp the tube onto the cable. The tubes are long, but the cable does not insert fully into the tube. So before you crimp, insert the cable into the tube and note how far it goes in. My first attempt I crimped too close to the screw in side of bracket and was not catching the cable. So I mangled the bracket a little. So better to crimp closer to 'insert' end of tube to ensure your crimp gets the cable. This is especially important on the adjustable bracket. In my first run I cut the cable thinking it would insert fully into the tube on the adjustable bracket - but it doesn't go all the way in. So my cable was a bit longer than it needed to be. So test how far the cable goes in so you have a better idea where to cut.- Before you start installation, play around with the adjustable bracket so you fully understand how it works. They come partially extended. I fully collapsed them, then unscrewed so around 1/4" of screw was exposed on either end. Then I measured/cut. The full 1/2" gave me enough slack to fully tighten the cable. I probably could have extended a bit more just to be safe. However far you decided to extend before attaching the cable, try to be consistent with the remaining adjustable brackets. This way when all cables are tightened, the brackets are reasonably uniform. Nicer visually. The other reason I took off a star is the tool they provide to tighten the cables works great during install. But if you have to go back and re-tighten cables in the end (which you will), it is a bit too long to easily adjust cables with 3" spacing between. In the end, I highly recommend this cables system and hope you appreciate the tips I shared here. I don't leave a lot of reviews on Amazon, but thought others could benefit from my tips on working with this system.

Nice finish
These are quality deck parts in gloss black finish. They are very nice and have lots of adjustment in the turnbuckle. They are easy to mount but I think the screws should be Stainless Steel rather than aluminum. Be careful with the screw head getting damaged with the bit in a screw gun. That is the only drawback to this product in my opinion. If you want to substitute stainless for the aluminum screws I’m sure they are available.
