"There is not" a half a book about the history of essential oils & hair. Good simple info on ingredients that's good for hair & scalp.

Seems to be very well researched, too, but I just don't see myself going to the lengths necessary to make my own shampoo. The short shelf life of these shampoos would hamper usefulness as a homemade gift, unless they were made immediately prior to the giving - difficult when friends and family are spread worldwide.In any case, as I said before, the book is well written and researched, and it served to satisfy my curiosity. If you're interested in DIY health and hygiene products, then this is as good a place as any to start your own research.

Great information, not many people know the chemicals in products that run over your skin and or that are use on your skin can be absorbed and cause so much that we just figure is normal. The book was a little disappointing because most of the recipes call for castile, which I’m allergic to. So this calls for a work-around. The other ingredient combinations look very interesting. I can’t wait to put some of these to use.

This is a really good read! I personally hate all of the chemicals that are in store bought beauty and hygiene products and try to avoid as many as possible.One of the last things I've put off from transitioning was my shampoo and conditioner. I guess I just thought it would all be too complicated.However, the recipes in this book make it very approachable and easy and I can't wait to try out a number of the recipes.

I am fed up using rubbish on my body so now I make everything,this book has some super shampoo recipes and easily made. I love using coconut oil so natural why I didn't do it sooner I don't know.
