This is a great product. Easy to put together and well made. One of boards on the medium super box was cracked when the shipment arrived. I contacted the company and they immediately sent a replacement box. Excellent quality and customer service.

I have bought several of these the price is good for quality. Boxes are well waxed and hold up well to our nasty winters. Frame foundations could use a bit more wax but all makers foundations need more wax. Boxes go together perfect and look awesome once together.

The bees absolutely love thus hive. When the shipment arrived, the FedEx delivery driver left the damaged and dirty box by the backdoor. Bees came and were trying to make the new boxes home before I even assembled it! Some pieces were missing due to the condition of the box, but the seller sent replacements quickly.

Beecastle has the best bee hives on the market in my opinion! The ducktail groves fall neatly and quickly into place. The hives are heavily coated in wax. I’ve tried several other brands and it’s definitely BeeCastle for me from now on. Durability, design is great!

The centuries of community knowledge show in this hive as the material used is all exactly the strength/weight it needs. The major pieces fit together like building blocks and it really is covered in a thick coat of beeswax.The main downside is the assembly directions stink. The printed directions are just a parts list and there is a link to a video but it is technically an ad for the product and doesn't show full assembly. Also I definitely received two small metal parts that the materials said nothing about and I still don't know where they go.The other downside is the frames are as sturdy as the need to be, not as sturdy as one might like. I would recommend using a whole bottle of wood glue when assembling for extra strength so your teenaged son doesn't damage while rough handling it.But it is a solid langstroth hive and my first batch of bees like it.

These are the best quality beehives you can buy without breaking the bank! I have ordered 5 so far and will continue using them for my future colonies. Excellent dipped coverage, no sizing issues and everyone comments on the natural color vs the painted look.
