Draft Door
I bought this for my Medium Big Green Egg. Installation was simple. A Phillips screwdriver removed the screws on the outside with my other hand holding the inside nuts. No need for a wrench or socket wrench. Once off, I just dusted off the location, placed the door over the opening, put the screws/washers thorough the door and all four holes in the egg, put the washers and nuts on the bolts on the inside, and finger tightened. Then, still holding the nuts, I used the screwdriver to hand tighten. You don't want to overcrank using a wrench as you could harm the egg. It took less than 5 minutes to take off the old/put on the new. However, you do want to clean out and disassemble the inside of the egg before doing this. Take off the grill and place setter, take out the fire ring and then the fire box. Clean everything out. If access to the screws is blocked by the stand, just rock the egg gently to move it left or right to clear them. The new door slides easily and has a secure fit. I didn't even need to use silicon to reseal it.

Fit my original large Egg perfectly
After two decades, the vent door on my original Large egg finally rusted through. I wasn't sure if they had changed the location of the holes over the years, and was unable to find any sort of measurements. So I took a chance, and am happy to say this fit perfectly. The quality seems great and the price is fair. I have yet to use it, but I don't see why it wouldn't perform fine... in fact, the perforated openings should improve the air control for low and slow smoking (eg, briskets). I always had to barely crack the door open in order to hold a 225º temperature... assuming there is less airflow now, I think there should be a bit more control at the low end of the temp scale.Overall, a great product

Fits perfect, priced right!
I have a Big Green Egg and have always extolled the virtues of how well made the Egg is. Truly investment quality, an Egg, if properly cared for, will be an heirloom you can hand down to your kids (or grand kids). But one thing that always bothered me was the flimsy bottom vent, with nothing more than a piece of metal screen tack-welded to a piece of metal. And sure enough, about 5 years after I purchased my Egg, the screen began tearing off. The punched metal panel was the perfect solution. Fit perfectly and more economical than buying a replacement from BGE.

Fit not quite right
I stripped my Egg and moved it onto a table to get better leverage on this as frame had about an 1/8th inch gap on top and bottom towards middle of arch. Tried everything, even flattening it but still same issue. Ended up just using original frame with new screen and door. I stripped old silicon and used J&B 500 degree silicon when I re-attached it and let it cure over night. Looking forward to some BBQ later today with my new vent screen. If you have a Large BGE, strongly recommend you save money and just get the screen only - as that is a 5-minute install, unlike this which because I removed old, ended up taking about 3 hours - mostly cleaning and stripping silicon, plus used it as target of opportunity to clean the nest as well.I could have probably made this work with enough silicon but just chose not to settle for imperfection.

Good replacement for original BGE mesh screen (Large)
This is a solid replacement for the original BGE mesh screen (mine is a large BGE). The only thing I would change is adding rubberized tips to the slide handles like the original slide screen. I could not give it a 5 for ease of install only because I have it in the BGE nest and it required some turning of the BGE inside the nest to make room for the install (really a design flaw from BGE). But it does fit a large BGE easily and I would recommend this versus other possible mesh screen replacements as they require a removal of the entire front screen assembly and a reinstall using high temp epoxy. Total replacement time was 15 min. Without having nest or needing to adjust BGE to get access to screws for screen assembly - maybe 5 minutes max.
