Embarrassingly I bought these to put on baked goods like muffins but seem way too big for that purpose. That was my mistake. They seem good quality and would be fun for tea or coffee.

Bought this to make a "geode" cake for my nephew. I had never made one before and am not a professional baker at all! I watched a few YouTube videos that showed rock candy being crushed up. I preferred a clear crystal so I could make my own colors and found this bag on Amazon. I thought it was the best value, although I only needed about 1/6 of the bag. Worked perfectly for my needs! Taste is just like rock candy, just tastes like sugar.

I bought these to make geode cookies. They worked really well for that purpose - were a perfect range of sizes, and could easily be used for other geode-type desserts. I painted color on them with slightly watered down gel food coloring and they took the color and didn't dissolve. As for taste, well...they taste like pure sugar, which is no surprise.

These crystals worked great for our geode cake. They taste good and are a good size. They are not really big but not really small. I was able to color the crystals by dissolving some sanding sugar (small sprinkles) in home homemade vanilla (made with vodka). The i swirled the crystals around in the mixture and laid them out to dry.

I loved this rock candy! It was easy to use and color and worked perfectly with our geology themed party. There was a good variety of slightly larger and smaller pieces in the bag. As for the flavor it tastes like standard rock candy. I would definitely recommend this product.
