Tested with various Phones.
USB-C to microSD AdapterI thought I'd do some testing with the available hardware here to see how far it could be pushed.I used 3 microSD Cards. A 128GB Sandisk Ultra, 200GB Sandisk Ultra and a 512GB Samsung Evo Plus.I tested in 7 handsets, all of which claim USB OTG. And here are the results. Another interesting solution for some phones, with some cards, for those who want to carry data. This one is is so tiny that it can be put on a keyring. I donβt recommend if you copy a lot or have high capacity cards to fill ... you might die of old age
There are not many good Micro SD Type C readers out there ... and this is not a very good one. I needed one for my laptop with Type C because all my other 2 Type A ports are taken. I wanted something smaller to keep on my keychain for traveling or in my backpack. The build quality feels ok but the slotting in and out the card is very fiddly and the card feels stuck inside. It feels quite uncomfortable the amount of force needed to pull the card out.But the most disappointing part is the slow copying to and from speed. My laptop has Thunderbolt Type C and I get only 25MB speed out of it? Very disappointing, I have tried Transcend, Integral, Toshiba Excelsior and Samsung Evo Plus and they all perform disappointing.

Piece of trash.
Simply doesn't work. The exFAT-formatted SanDisk card plugged into this device can be read without any problems by a Samsung phone, a Nintendo Switch, and a Surface Book using a Micro to full-size SD adapter. Why then can this card not be read by said Samsung, Surface Book or even a 2017 MacBook Pro after plugging it in via USB-C? Money wasted on a piece of junk, frankly; and without a free returns policy, Rocketek are laughing all the way to the bank.

Solid build. Quality device. Fantastic speed of file transfers.
Metal construction. Usb type C. Blue flashing light built in. Placed my new micro sdxc card into the tiny card reader which I plugged into my type C socket on my computers motherboard and it was instantly recognised and began transferring my flac. music files in absolute record time. What usually takes hours to do took 35 minutes.. Bloody brilliant. Buying another one..

Great little device
So many of my devices now seem to have micro-SD cards and although my PC has a number of standard USB slots, most are on the back of the device. I have one USB-C slot on the front which I have (until now) had little use for. This little card reader is plugged in permanently and I can just slide a card in when I need it. Unlike some reviewers, I quite like the blue light confirming activity; data transfer seems quick enough. Overall, well worth the few quid I paid.
