I bought it for my young child (17 months) because every time she sees a specific scene of Ms Rachel counting and playing with Spike and helping him get his Quills back in, my baby laughs and laughs. hearing her giggle like that made me look up Spike online so she can have her very own hedgehog to help and play and I have the pleasure of hearing her laugh. Especially when she's got “Quilliam” out at the same time Ms Rachel has Spike out during that particular episode. She enjoys playing with Spikes brother “QUILLiam”... whether your child is a fan of Ms Rachel or not, it's a pretty great toy and babies find it captivating and are pretty intrigued by the colors, feel, and puzzle like quality. The ONLY thing I can say it lacks are extra quills ... I wish it came with an extra set of quills because baby girl has lost half of them already. That's why I rated the durability 3 stars.

My kiddos loves this so much. She is learning to count, learning colors and learning gross motor skills. It's a great learning toy. I love that it can store all the pegs. It's also super cute. Will definitely buy this for gifts.

My 18 month old granddaughter had played with this at a library group and loved it. She does like to chew on the plastic "quills" and carry them around but also uses her coordination to place them back in the holes in the hedgehog. They are different colors and numbers on the back so lots of activities to do with this. It is recommended for age 18 months + and I think that is perfect, I definitely recommend!

The kids love playing with the hedgehog and can practice counting (spike holes are numbered), colors, and pincher grasp as they place the spikes.I like that the spikes can be stored within the hedgehog while not being used.Excellent gift, especially ages 3 and under.

This was given to our 20 month grandson and he loves it. I like that it’s educational and fun for him.
