Customizing Spine Label is Impossible
The binder is beautiful. I'm pretty sure it's genuine leather on the spine unless they managed to use a faux leather that smells like the real thing. Everything looks and works as intended...except for the spine where you place a label for the contents. The spine label frame is a metal, ornate square that appears to be attached to the body of the binder with little Phillips-head screws. Because of the shape on this spine, I was unable to slide the label it came with out or slide a label I made (using their template) in.So, I grabbed a small screwdriver and removed the screws to remove the plate, put in a label and screw it back on. Easy. But no. The screws are not actually attached to anything sturdy. I can't tell for certain, but I think they may have been glued in (which is fine!) for this application IF you didn't have to remove the plate to get a different label into it. The faux bind stitch bumps on the spine make it impossible to do that. The problem is that since the screws aren't functional in reality, they won't go back in securely once you've taken them out.SO...On the cognac binder, I literally cannot replace the label without removing the label frame (which then cannot be replaced) and so there's no point. It's ruined unless I can find some glue that will hold--which is another shopping trip or order to place, and I'm pretty miffed about it. For 24 dollars, I would have expected better than an oversight like this.

Classy Disc Storage
I bought one of the plainer black Bellagio-Italia binders and immediately filled it up, which necessitated the purchase of another binder. This binder (in the “Cognac” color) caught my eye and I wasn’t disappointed when I got it. The leather on the spine has an attractive embossing along with the standard metal index holder. The front and back have a fleur-de-lis pattern on suede, which I can only imagine will get dirty without protection from dust. It looks infinitely better than any DVD or Blu-ray case, and really looks sharp on a bookshelf alongside the other binder. The disc storage method isn’t that unique, and I don’t intend on using the DVD cover art so that function doesn’t hold my interest. Each of these binders are listed to hold 80 discs, but through a bit of my own experimentation, only hold 72 (that’s 18 pages of discs). Yeah, you could put more, but it starts to bulge comically after 18!All in all, not a bad way to store one’s discs, be they CDs, DVDs, or Blu-rays. I’m definitely getting more of this series!I took off a star because the inside top corner wasn’t glued all the way.

Beautiful way to store DVDs with high quality, no-slip inserts.
I love these. I have an extensive DVD movie collection. I used these to condense the space needed to house the collection. The DVDs fit into the slots perfectly - there is no slippage or sliding. In some cases, I put 2 DVDs in one slot and it also holds perfectly. Please note, you would not be able to double up on both sides of the insert. The books are very attractive. I've read where some people felt tricked by the specialty inserts needed. I did not. First, the DVDs fit the slots perfectly - the inserts are a high quality design. Second, I read the reviews complaining that you had to purchase the inserts specifically designed for this book. So, I knew before I bought them that they required the specific inserts. I do not agree that it is overpriced. Sometimes you get what you pay for and I find this product is exactly that. It is a good price for the quality you receive. I bought 2 originally to try it out. I was so pleased, I bought 4 more (I have a lot of DVDs). The biggest difficulty I have with these is adjusting to picking out a movie to watch. I made an index for my movies but it just isn't the same as staring at jewel cases... Still, instead of a wall of jewel cases, I have 6 beautiful books on one shelf.

Holds the amount of discs it says its suppose to.
It wasn't what I expected. I expected the holders to be sturdy. It has vinyl holders, in basically a 3 ring binder. I gave it 3 stars, because it does hold the amount discs it says its suppose to. I could actually use another one, but it isn't worth the price.

Good sturdy storage.
This book are a hard cover. Theres enough room for 48 disks comfortably. I bought some extra sleeves and it's too much for this book to hold. There is no place for cover art or and disc information.
