Q: What is the weight difference between the black plastic handle version VS the stainless steel handle version? Thanks

Q: Is this hammer black like in the picture? I saw a review saying that it is red, but the only picture on here has a black one.

The one I ordered from amazon (from this product page) was black...which is what I wanted. There is a silver/chrome handle also that is more expensive (found on a different product page). I did not come across a red one...but maybe it is or was a special edition. All the ones I see at work are either black or chrome. (By the way, it's a great hammer!)

Built in brush? Just unscrew the end and stick it back in there.

Q: I'm about to start pediatrics residency. This looks fantastic for adults, but do you think the head is too heavy to use on young children?

I have these, would agree, the head is a bit heavy but it has to do with how much force you swing it, too. I personally use my 2 fingers to tap on young adults/children.
