I really appreciate this hippy bag. So much room in it, love the colors and design and have gotten many compliments on it. Very worthwhile.

I am always on the lookout for different fabric bags so I can carry art supplies, books, or perhaps even use as a purse.FABRICThe fabric of this purse is really nice. It is hand dyed and looks really artsy.CONSTRUCTIONThe quality of this bag is really nice. It has lining that is woven fabric (not nylon) and pockets in the inside and back. The zippers are nice and the embroidery is really a nice touch.FLAPThe flap on this purse has a velcro style closure and the inside of the purse under the flap has a zipper which holds it shut. That way if the flap opens up, your purse is still secure and things won't fall out.STRAPThis is the only part of this purse I am not as fond of. I wish it had perhaps another inside layer of fabric or something to give the strap some more heft. It is a bit thin for carrying the purse if there is any weight at all in it.COLORI love the color of this. It really is appealing and a nice cross between denim and turquoise.THE BOTTOM LINEThis purse is attractive, well made, and a beautiful color. The handmade touches make it really nice to use for bohemian style looks.MY RATINGFOUR STARS. I took off a star for the thin strap, but honestly this purse is still really nice. At least the strap is adjustable. I like that it has pockets that zip shut and the inside zips shut under the flap.

It reminds me so much of some of the messenger bag purses I had back in the 70s - it's like a comfort moment! The colors and stitching on the outside makes it such a lovely, casual style of purse that I love to wear/use. Most of my 70s style bags like this have an open area under the flap, but this is a more secure type with a zipper closed top and an outer zip pocket hidden by the flap when it is down. Crossbody is now my favorite style of purse because it's on me securely while both my hands are free and this purse crosses that off my list of reasons why I like this one. Oh and size - I have always preferred a larger bag to a smaller one and this purse is a great size. If you like the casual messenger style bag, then this might also cross off your list of likes in a purse.

The Handmade Cotton shoulder bag, Messenger Style multicolor, hand work Cross body bag is a really nice bag that is a little bigger than I was expecting. It is made of soft but sturdy cotton material and it is well constructed. The embroidery is really low profile so you don't have to worry about it catching on anything.The front flap closes with a big piece of velcro to hold it securely and it is easy to open by pulling on the strap on the front. The main body of the bag closes with a zipper and there are three large zippered pockets as well -one in the main body, one on the back and one under the front flap.All the different colors of fabric on the bag make it easy to match to outfits and the light weight of the bag makes it easy to carry.I really like this bag and I think it will be my new favorite to carry around.

I love this bag! So what if I'm 62, takes me back to my teen year purses. I read where the people said colors aren't vibrant and was amused. These people need purses with bling I guess. This is a lovely patchwork in appearance. The colors online almost kept me from buying it, so much nicer in person. Lots of zippered areas which for me is a must. Love the long strap for crossbody use and I find it's a very sturdy bag, close to some much higher priced ones. Plan on airing it out a day, does come with an odor, probably from dye. I was concerned because the front flap has only Velcro, but I've flung this around and have yet to have anything fly out. And for me it's a perfect size. I hope this purse lasts a long time as it meets my practical and aesthetic needs.

I have to admit, I was disappointed when this purse arrived, because the colors weren't anything like what they look like in the pictures - instead they are very faded and hardly noticeable (I've included a picture to show what I mean). I still like the purse a lot, but I also feel accurate representation in the listing pictures is a must, so I feel that I need to take off a couple stars. If it hadn't been for the color issue, I think the purse would have been an easy 5 stars for me. It feels well made with thick, durable denim fabric. There are multiple sections of various sizes, many zipped, so it works very well for keeping organized. Despite being a bit smaller than some of my other purses, I feel like I can fit so much stuff inside of it (friends joke it's like a Mary Poppins bag). The long strap allows me to wear it crossbody, which helps take strain off of my back, but a quick adjustment makes it short enough to hang off the back of a chair. I’ve been using the purse for at least a few weeks, and it still shows no wear.
