Octavia Tea Rose Oolong (Oolong Tea), 1.23-Ounce Tin

As I'm sipping on a cup of this right now, I figured I may as well review it. I purchased this blend probably last winter... I have so much tea in my cabinet that it ended up hidden for months. Anyways, I rediscovered it earlier today while cleaning said cabinet and luckily it is good until next year. It was already open because I used about half of the tea when it first arrived. Let me tell you not only does it still look fresh, but it tastes just as lovely as I remember. It must be due to the tin it comes in. It seals really well. I steep this blend for about 5 minutes, it can handle that amount of time without becoming bitter. I am definitely a fan of both oolong and rose, and the combination of the two is genius! Like I said, the taste is fantastic. It turns out a pale green but don't let that light color fool you, the flavor is pleasantly noticable... not weak at all. I don't add sugar, it doesn't need it. My favorite part about this tea is how wonderful it makes my house smell. 😍 It is definitely one of my favorites and I do recommend it.

This is a delicious tea, and I wonder whether the negative reviewers don't fully grasp the meaning of brew to taste. If you go by the producer's instruction, it may be too weak (hence the old flower water taste). The leaves are fluffy, so a teaspoon is really a heaping teaspoon. I don't see 48 teaspoons in here as the package states, but still, the price is typical, and the taste is well worth it. I brew this with 2 heaping teaspoons with 16 oz boiling water for 3 minutes and leave the strainer in the water so the flavor further intensifies. Perfect cup of tea, same as Floral Geisha through Cha Ma Gu Dao in Montclair, NJ if that means anything to anyone.

Very tasty high-quality tea. The rose flavor is very present. I have only prepared hot and not cold yet.

I LOVE Octavia's teas. I have my favorites on subscription or buy in bulk!But the Rose Oolong one has such a strong scent that I haven't managed to steep a single cup. Just opening the can causes me to lose my taste for tea in that moment.It smells like dollar store potpourri. Just can't bring myself to drink it.

It other words this is super pungent! If your not a rose fan and want something subtle, this isnt for you. On the plus side-Loved it! Would buy again, as matter of fact am ordering another can, great oolong tea, chock a block with the most pungently gorgeous rose petals! I really love this product! In my house it gets used for more than tea! Use your imagination, youll come up with so many ways to use this product. Give it a shot, you won't regret it. I just wish it was a little cheaper. I cannot find another that comes close to this though. Try a little in some plain vanilla frosting, OMG! Soo Good.

After having a friend introduce me to rose oolong tea, I was destined to find a product that was just as good as the homegrown handmade tea mixture...This comes pretty darn close! I steep it for about 15 minutes and it comes out PERFECT. Not too strong, not too light. It definitely smells flowery and leaves a very pleasant taste after each sip. I'm definitely going to buy this again as it's become my custom to have a cup of it before bed time. It doesn't say it's caffine free but it does a great job of calming my nerves down after a long day!
