Ideal length for use when travelling, too short for use at home (sometimes)
Available also ended in a 2.5mm plug that suits some DAPs, DACs and headphone amplifiers this suits several others including those from iFi. Both use right-angled plugs and there is not as best-known a straight option. The "okcsc Earphones Cable Replacement Upgrade Cable with 4.4mm Balanced Plug for SENNHEISER Headphones HD650 HD600 HD580 HD535 HD545 HD565 HD265,Single Crystal Copper Headphones Replacement Cable No Mic" is only offered in a 1.2m length, ideal for use with portable devices but possibly not when at home or in the studio where a two- or three-times longer option would be preferable; pricing would be much higher. Regrettably, there is nothing longer but there is also no matching extension cable, something feasible but probably not recommended. It was ordered both as a potential future replacement for the original cable and to use when travelling and using a DAP and portable amplifier that each support the connection. The cable is fabric-covered in a mid-brown tone and comprises a simple plait rather than one of the more complex patented weaves that some balanced cables employ. Rather the minute markings used by Sennheiser on their own cables that are difficult to see other than under a bright light (black raised lettering on a black background is no help), these employ the traditional red and black differentiation for the two sides. There is nothing obvious to show which side is the 'front' of the two small connectors that fit into the 'phones.Unlike another alternative that employs a thick and inflexible plastic covering, this cable seems to avoid induced micro-phonic noise, and is more flexible than Sennheiser's version. The pricing may appear high but all balanced cables are expensive; a 30cm 4.4mm cable from iFi is £69 while a standard replacement from Sennheiser is almost £200; by comparison, this is affordable!

Good Quality Cable
Nice shorter cable for use with my Sennheiser HD660S and a balanced 2.5mm out from a Hidizs S9 portable DAC/Amp. Look and feel of the cable and plugs are good quality. Absolutely no complaints about the sound quality through them either.Fantastic prompt delivery, I ordered these on a Saturday afternoon and the arrived the following morning.

Awful microphonics
This cable was bought to be used with my HD660S as I wanted a short 4.4mm balanced one for portable and desk top use. In that regard it is perfect and relatively well made although quite stiff. Sound wise I didn't really notice any change to the frequency response but I didn't do any A to B with the original. Now why 2 stars? The microphonics on this cable are just awful. If it brushes up against anything the noise is really apparent even with music playing relatively loudly. One reviewer said there were none, hmmm not my experience at all. I just can't recommend this cable at all because of it - returned mine.

Strong, long and powerful
This is a braided cable that feel sturdy and has a good 1.2 metre length. If you’re like me and have bought a portable dac/amp like the BTR5 and need a balanced cable to power your Sennheiser headphones then this will do the job well.

Honestly impressed
Just bought these cables and since I've only bought my ifi zen DAC I was kind reluctant to spend 40£ on some cables to try the balanced output. I don't write reviews but I definitely can sense a big difference in sound, a lot more power to drive the HD-6xx. If you're in doubt, don't be they're worth it.
