Dress Shoes Antique Blue 100% Leather

This is the second pair of Paul Malone shoes that I have bought through Amazon. Some of the comments posted to the Spectator wingtips state that the shoes are about a size larger than what you usually wear. So I have ordered a 1/2 size smaller and now a full size smaller than usual. This was a mistake. I tried breaking these shoes in by wearing them. It cause burn on the back of my left heal. This took weeks to heal. I ended up having to order my usual size shoe, which are now slightly large. At least I can wear the shoes all day without burning the back of my heal. That said, I like the quality of the shoes and the fact they have rubber tread for the heal and sole.Now I can wear wingtips in bad weather and not have to worry about slipping in slush and light snow. I also won't ruin the leather soles.I've reduced the number of stars because of sizing only.

I am a 10.5 US and ordered a 10.5. They sent a 9.5 UK. It fit but took a long time to break in. The first time i put them on, i couldn't even get the shoe on. I recommend neatsfoot oil for breaking in. Don't be discouraged if they are stiff, the leather will eventually stretch and mold to your foot. These are a traditional leather shoe and if you don't know how to care for them, learn before you buy. My feet run a little wide and this made it a little harder to break in. This is a rugged shoe and feels like it will last a long time. I bought for work. If anything changes i will certainly update.Update: most comfortable shoe i have every owned.

The finish wears off pretty easily. I know they are supposed to look worn, but it comes off so easily that you kind of gets weird wear patterns when you first start wearing them. It self-corrects over time as they become more worn. Otherwise pretty solid shoes. I also have the blue pair which is hands down my favorites. They don't have the finish issue and are dark enough to look black most of the time with a slight blue tone.

These shoes are sharp looking and very comfortable. NO break-in period; wore them right out of the box all day! The antique blue finish is suttle but makes and extrodinary statement and I've received many compliments.

I needed work shoes with tread for winter. People like how they look. The quality of shoe wasn't as good as I had hoped. Not as comfortable and they fit a little weird. But since they are winter shoes they'll work.

So far so good. These shoes are durable with a "commando" sole making walking in Midwest winters easier. I walk around 3 miles each day and I have a standing desk and the shoes remain comfortable. I expected to have to buy inserts but they are not necessary.

Wanted to love these shoes but had to return. I ordered 11s, they said 10 on the stickers but were really more of a size 12. The darker finish appeared to be a spray on product that came off way to easy for a high quality shoe. They weren't very comfortable and were quite heavy.
