What do i need to set it up?

It connects via USB cable to your computer, You need a Digital Audio Workstation(DAW) and some Software Instruments to play. If you've never used a DAW before then it can be a bit confusing how to set it up sometimes, but most keyboards auto-connect now. (Youtube is your friend here) I think this also supports midi-out, but im not sure, if it does then it can control hardware synthesizers as well, something like a Cobalt8 that doesn't have a keybed attached.

Can i play without a computer and plug it straight to an amp for concerts?

This keyboard only sends MIDI signals. If you have some kind of synthesizer or synth module, you could connect it via MIDI Cable, if you're trying to get away from computers/DAWs.

does this keyboard sometimes not input keys on ableton live lite? The minilab does when too many things are plugged in, its bigger so more power right

I sometimes have issues with the ableton recognizing the keyboard. I have had to reboot software and keyboard at times. I also lose capability to control analog lab through dials/faders. I don’t know what I am doing- but eventually I get things working.!

Are the knobs and faders assignable to other DAW or plug-in functions?

Yes, you can map the knobs and fader to any midi functions on DAWs and plug ins
