Kerr 1 Pint Canning Jar Regular Mouth 70610-00503 - 12 / CS

Ordered and received two boxes of reg-mouth Kerr pint jars. Every single jar was perfect... no breakage, no cracks, and after crucial examination, all the top edges were perfect; no nicks. Perfect for canning. The only concern I have is that the lids (as with all mason jar orders), are on the jars with rubber side down. Most of the jars are vacuum sealed to a point (because of air pressure from where they originated?) and the rubber ring on all the lids are indented. This happens with all the jars I get knew. With the indentation on the rubber rings, I'm concerned about using them for water-bath or pressure canning. Just can't bring myself to do it. With the cost of canning lids these days, that's a real shame. However, when I do my 'dry' canning with the food-saver equipment, I always use the used lids from previous water/steam canning. So these lids won't go to waste, just sorry I don't trust them to use them knew. Anyone ever used them with 100% successful seals? I'd like to know. Still... 5 stars for the company, and for all the perfect jars that will last many years.

Classic Kerr jars are great. The word mason is on each jar, so I know they are authentic. Worked well in the dishwasher and great through the processing. I used them to can pear preserves and peach chutney. They also sealed very well. No problems.

I got these Jars to make pickles in but forgot what size I need it to replace the ones from last year I gave to friends and family.. I taught 1 pint would be large enough but I messed up so instead I will up using these Jars for jams and other canning items, So far I'm beyond pleased how well made they are. I used one today as a Boston shaker for some cocktails I was making for guests and it held up quite nicely to some rather large ice smacking around in the inside.. I would highly recommend these Jars to anyone who is looking to do small canning or just anything in between as there super tough and are of high quallity

Yeah, my fault not fully reading the description. But these are pint jars, not half pint as depicted.

None arrived broken...can't wait to use them and try canning for the first time.
