Well Done Samyang
I'm uploading a series of images and a video so you can judge for yourself but I can tell you that I am absolutely blown away by the performance of this lens. The first image (all duplicate to show lens corrections) is straight out of the camera (Sony a7iii), the second is with Lightroom Lens Profile corrections on. The first 6 images were all taken at ISO 2000 (f2.8 and f8 for comparison with the globe images). The video is also straight out of the camera.Things to note: - This thing is TINY and super light but packs a huge punch - Minimal distortion - Slight vignette, easily corrected but makes the images more interesting - Isolates subjects nicely - Affordable (considering the other Sony full frame options at the moment) - Precise autofocus (make a slight whirling sound really doesn't bother me) that is fast enough for meIn no way is this a scientific review and I am not a professional photographer. But I am very pleased with the performance and features of this lens. It does eye-AF, it's pretty snappy (comparable to the Sony 85mm 1.8), and only really struggles in backlit situations if your subject is poorly lit/lacks contrast. Is this lens worth the money? Well, if you can get past the weird lens cap/hood thingy, slight autofocus noise, average (possibly below average?) minimum focus distance, and slight lens flares then yes. Additionally, if you can accept the fact that all lenses have flaws, then yes, this might be the right lens for you.Is it a must-have lens - no but I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a small, sharp prime. So far I've been pleased with the quality and consistency of this lens and will update this review if any issues arise.Bonus pictures: The last 4 pictures (of the leaf and chandelier) were taken while using the Neewer macro extension tubes. I've had excellent results with this combo!Video: no speaking, just in-camera mic, to help you determine if the video AF is fast enough and if noise is too loud. First clip uses normal AF drive speed and standard AF Track. The second clip uses responsive AF drive speed and fast AF Track.Update: Eye-AF isn't spectacular when your subject is at a distance (shooting full body portraits) compared to my 24-105 at 35mm, but I wouldn't expect this to outperform a lens like that. With my copy, AF missed a few times when shooting full body portraits with a busy background that had lots of movement - not an issue when you have a simple background. Use a flexible AF point in situations like this for accurate AF.

GREAT street photography lens!
my version came with the latest firmware and the AF is fast on my Sony a9, it's quite sharp even wide open however I haven't done any sharpness tests for it corners (for my use of this lens, mainly street photography, I couldn't care less about corner sharpness). The lens comes with a weird small lens hood that the lens cap only fits on, without the hood on, the cap doesn't fit... I ended up buying a metal hood (see picture), and had to buy a 49mm cap. I love this lens, and I didn't want to spend the money for the Zeiss version which cost more than 2x... people say one of the big advantages to Zeiss has is weather/moisture/dust resistant, but when I looked at the Zeiss version, I didn't see any rubber ring around the mount anyways, so I'm not so sure if there's even any sealing.

Great compact lens
I had a choice of this or the Zeiss 35mm. The Samyang was more compact and obviously cheaper. I use this 35mm for times when I want a compact lens. Normally, I have my Tamron 28-75mm but it's massive in comparison. If I'm going somewhere and I want to look a bit more stealthy with my A7, I pop this 35mm on it. It's sharp and 2.8 is decent fast. 3rd party lens' are pretty good these days and I often times don't miss having the more expensive glass from Sony. Looking through my photos, a lot of my favourite pictures are taken with 35mm and this lens. So in my eyes, this was a great buy.

Great little lens
This is the closest as you can get to a pancake lens for full frame e mount. It is lovely. The autofocus _sometimes_ huts for a bit, but is usually quite quick. The warranty addon they try to sell you however is a total scam. The warranty website is either fake, or always not working.

Why did I get a second hand product?
I really wasn't expecting a second hand lens with a sigma cap that fits loose. I wouldn't mind some reimbursement for this. On the other hand, the image quality in the first few shots looked really good. The lens just feels light and cheap but I'm not looking for an expensive durable lens so that's alright. The focus feels a little tight and could be freed up better.
