CamelbakWater Bottle Chute Mag 14oz charcoal

Edit: I was able to get three of these bottles for the price of 1 on Amazon via big box store. Amazon charges full retail + some more. I recommend shopping around.------------Our 5 year old son (in Senior Kindergarten) likes this water bottle and we are trying to graduate him out of the Playtex preschool ones he was using the last few years. We looked at Nalgene, but none of them seemed appropriate for his use. We opted not to buy the Camelbak bite valve version because we can't find replacement parts easily in our area.He can open this Camelbak himself with no problem and close it. He is careful to make sure he closes it properly or else it will leak water all over his bag. Depending on your child's ability to be mindful to twist close the cap ALL THE WAY, this may not be for him/her.One thing we don't like about this bottle is that it sticks out of his 'bottle' holder at the side of his backpack. The bottle is short, but the lid is wide with a handle. Therefore, this bottle won't slide down nicely into his side bottle pocket on his backpack like is old water bottle - there is a potential it can fall out.Cleaning - it comes apart in 3 pieces: the cap, the lid and the bottle. There are two plastic gaskets: on the lid and cap which you cannot take out to clean. So overtime, this may accumulate impurities/mold from the water - we shall see.Otherwise, it is a water bottle. Does the job. He decorated it with vinyl stickers (his name and a superhero logo). Loves it. I would not provide this bottle to anyone less than 5 years old because of the dexterity you need to twist the cap open, pull the cap off and put the cap back on and twist all the way to close properly. We practiced at home several times until he was Ok with it.

Prinzipiell gute Flasche wenngleich der Haltemechanismus des Deckels auch einige Spalten hat in welche Schmutz und Flüssigkeit eindringen und welche schlecht zu reinigen ist.Für kohlensäurehaltige Getränke nicht empfehlenswert da sich Flüssigkeit im Gewinde des Deckels sammelt welche beim Öffnen (Druckausgleich) nach aussen gedrückt wird. So hat man immer schön feuchte Finger. Auch ein sehr langsames Öffnen verhindert dies nicht, nur die Menge ist etwas geringer.

I was tired of replacing chewed up camelbak valves from Eddy bottles, when I came across this. The prospect for not cleaning straws and replacing valve, made me buy this. This is leakproof when the lid is closed properly. But the trouble is it's difficult to get a 5-year old to keep screwing the lid back after every use. Mind you, if the cap is not screwed back tight, it leaks. Definetly a great product for older kids, or a bottle for take along on walks but not for young kids. Stick with Eddy.

Llevo años comprando botellas y nunca he estado satisfecho hasta que probé esta botella. Compré la de 13oz la cual cabe perfectamente en los portavasos de los coches. No están inventando el hilo negro con su sistema de tapa pero el imán la hace muy conveniente. Lo único yo le agregaría sería una graduación por si se requiere una cantidad exacta de líquido

The build quality is awesome! I've been using it for months, and it still works great. The magnetic cap is a nice idea.I washed it in the machine many times without any problems.No leaking at all.I'll definitely buy again if I lose it!
