Great Ramen Add
Working on great vegan ramens at home - these flakes do well in the same time as ramen noodles with a hot water bath. Taste... like beans.

Very tasty
I’ve used these beans since December. The taste is quite good, just pinto beans. I like to add a bit of seasoning sometimes. One third a cup of beans with one third a cup boiling water makes a lovely snack in the afternoon, something that is not sweet. This won’t replace beans I’ve cooked myself, but it only takes the time for boiling water. Adds some nice texture to soups and other dishes. I’ll buy this again.

Tasty and filling.
If you are camping or even traveling and don’t want fast food, these bean flakes are great. Just mix with hot water and fold into a tortilla. Yum. Cheap, filling and easy!

Bulk replacement for Santa Fe backpacking beans
I’ve been using these with instant rice and taco seasoning as a backpacking dinner staple for years. I used to use Santa Fe or Mexicali Rose brands but those can be hard to find sometimes and come in smaller bags. This has been pretty much perfect

Expectations MET
Flavor was bland but still had bean flavor/smell. Very satisfied with its behavior in being reconstituted. It worked well as a filler or meal stretcher. I would indeed buy it again. Great test for dehydrating your own beans. 6-25-23

Dry beans
They are dried beans that I keep in case of an emergency.

They're just okay...
I have been looking for a lazy way to make refried beans, and this definitely fits the bill. Unfortunately, the flavor is a bit odd. There is a sweetness, almost fruity, flavor to these beans. If your plan is to mix it with something, like in a soup, then I think you might not notice, but I ate them straight, as a side dish, as well as in a breakfast Burrito, and the flavor was noticeably off. Pinto beans usually have an "earthy" flavor, but again, these come off as "fruity."
